Why haven't the Rockets made their signings official?

    That’s correct. He would have to go to another team in a three team deal of some sort.

    Because Morey wants to figure out the incoming salary of any possible trade that's out there, before committing on the exact terms of the free agents he's already committed to. You can still offer them the same dollar amount, but backload the contracts if need be for cap ramifications.

    Morey will be laying in the weeds for the rest of the summer if need be. He's not dumb enough to just ignore the fact that everyone around us improved this offseason, despite what spin piece begs to differ. We're a 5 seed, first round knock out at best right now.

    I am more curious to know how long they are going to wait for the MDA extension, if everyone is half assing, would like to know.

    The extension does not make sense because a rebuild could happen any season from next year on.

    I am not sure MDA would sign up for a rebuild.

    there is something to be said for continuing/enhancing what you inherited. For example, Tillman inherited a team that was 1 injury away from winning a championship and I think we can safely say we have taken a step back from that point and time.

    this is further magnified by the fact that we never really heard about rockets trying to escape the luxury tax over signing someone during the time Les was here

    Lastly, the 2nd championship team basically just had Hakeem, Kenny and Horry from the team pre-Les (the final product) so to say he just bought the team would be factually incorrect.
