True. Mark my words, my next year Morey will be trying to unload the contract to save face again. And to unload it he’ll have to give up assets and draft picks to do it, the same way he did with Ryan Anderson’s contract.
Bev was coming off the books this offseason. Also we would have actually trade able pieces. No body wants CP3 garbage contract.
The Ryno deal is the problem. Go back and and rerun the last two years in your mind and imagine another $20M starter playing and the 2 titles we are sitting on right now. Regardless of how overpaid CP3 is you wouldn’t mention it at all. No one would. Morey’s obsession with stretch 4s and winning on trades led to Ryno and killed this team.
We had that, it was a 50+ win team that lost to the spurs. Now getting Lou Williams and Harrell on that contact re-up was the real steal fit the clippers.
