Today’s sports reporting is a joke. Too many stories relying on anonymous sources, and the urge to be the first with breaking news means fact checking often goes by the wayside, too.

As with everything, there needs to be verification. However, in absence of verification, we can only look at Paul's prior history. Paul has asked to be traded or expressed a desire to leave every team he has been on. When on the (then) New Orleans Hornets he expressed a desire to go to the Lakers, and when it was vetoed, he threatened legal action. When he was on the Clippers, he also wanted out and agreed to a sign and trade to Houston. My guess is that the degree of this might be over exaggerated, but I do think given his history, this probably did happen. Paul has a nice habit of leaving when the going gets tough, and he has a terrible habit of pointing fingers at everyone except himself. If and when he leaves Houston, he will take some parting shots and make it seem like it was the supporting cast and not him that had short comings.

Maybe this will galvanize the team, push them close together in an us-against-the-world mentality.

I've noticed the Warriors' players do this a lot. They convince themselves that everything is going against them - - and that winning is the only way to resolve the issue.

Strange, because just a couple of hours ago I was thinking how could it get any worse.

I’ve totally flipped and feel like good things are coming. Guess we will see.

I don't know how much I buy this whole scenario, but if we did trade CP I'd have to think it would be a multi-player deal where we get several mid-level stars in return rather than a superstar for superstar plus picks.
