We were number 4 in this year's playoffs and played 2 great defensive teams. We were better than Toronto. https://stats.nba.com/teams/advanced/?sort=W&dir=-1
Harden is a top level player in the league but best overall. He isn’t. Maybe best offensive but best overall. No. You don’t underwhelm continually in the playoffs and get the title of best player in the league. He is just missing that element of fire.
They both have said repeatedly that what the rockets ran this year was not morey or diantoni's offense. It was trying to maximize james' skillset. Which is a nice way of saying "we had no choice but to play this way". I'm not trying to put everything on Harden, but to absolve him of all blame is naive.
Yes. If the Pelicans cooperate with them to stretch the trade out they can get to close to $30 million in cap space. They could then trade out Kuzma for CP3 in a simultaneous trade. Didn't check the numbers closely yet but pretty sure this could work. Doubt they would do that.
We don't make the playoffs If we don't play that way. The way we played in 2018 is most ideal. Elite defense and health, and number 1 offense of all time...
Honestly no, I don't think the Lakers would do it. Not sure the Rockets would do it either (unless CP3 actually wanted out which I doubt.) There'd be no guarantee to actually get another good player.
So, if we put more movement and tempo into the offense, we wouldn't have made the playoffs? Based on what? They had to play that way because it is the only way james will play.
You want Danuel House, Gary Clark and PJ Tucker making plays with the ball? Eric Gordon??? Such a waste. Every single possession should go through Harden. He is guard Wilt Chamberlain. We absolutely miss the playoffs if you give the ball to the early season GLeager's squad, yes. Harden put us on his back and no one should forget that.
