With the Warriors' injuries, the Rockets' window is next season. Hope we figure a way to snatch Butler without losing too much. Kyrie, Kemba, and Kawhi need to remain East.

maybe even the playoffs? bc of 1 team? after early year struggles, we were essentially the 2nd best team in the west despite injuries

Great haul by the Pelicans. Better than letting him walk and I doubt Danny Ainge would ever give him that many picks. Lakers way overpaid but if it results in a championship nobody will care.

A team with no bench, though. You saw what the Warriors just went through. Also, you'd probably have to ask LeBron/Davis/third guy to play close to 40 minutes a night. There's no load management in the western conference.

LeBron will be 35 years old in December. Jordan last won a championship at 35 but had less wear and tear after sitting out a year and a half to serve his gambling suspension. I say the Lakers have a one or two-year window.

Lakers had a 2.8% chance of landing the 4th pick...thanks NBA for making sure they got it.
That pick is instrumental in getting this trade to happen.

Yeah I said it!... Those teams behind us , Okc, Utah, Portland, and Clippers can get better with a FA or 2 (Tobias Harris, Middleton, etc)... While we're stuck in purgatory because of CP3 contract... It's possible bro!

    Just like us then ;)

I mean, assume we keep Rivers, that leaves us with Nene, Hartenstein, Clark and maybe Green and House.

Lakers will probably resign McGee and get a couple of veterans for cheap.

How is this a good trade for the Pels? Draft picks don't equal success meanwhile the Lakers get to keep their top player besides Lebron in Kuzma. I wish they stayed hellbent on not trading him to LA. Lebron will be back in the finals unfortunately

Actually, I don’t like the lineup. Don’t Kuzma, Bron and Davis now all play basically same position? And if they add butler instead of walker, they really have no shooting and don’t fit with today’s game in the slightest.

    Lonzo / Payton
    Holiday / Moore
    Zion / Miller
    Ingram
    Okafor

Plus whoever the 4th pick ends up being.

That team...is not good. It's young, but there's no shooting. And no shooting means no spacing. And no spacing means the lane is too clogged up to develop Zion.

I can see Griffin trading some of the Lakers' package for shooting. They also need a legit 5.
