Can we change the title of this thread to Kawhi’s teammates and coaching staff are 100x better than Harden’s. When’s the last time we’ve gotten 50 points from a Rockets player/s not named or including James Harden? Toronto has talent from top to bottom. Houston is top heavy.
Siakem would have easily been our 2nd best player Lowry would have easily been our 3rd best player Ibaka and FVV would have easily been our best bench player Raptors had more shooting from top to bottom on the roster This isn’t much of a debate

He had major help in the whole series. I think he only carried in 2 of the 6 games. But these threads do make me laugh. People don't know how lucky we are to have a player like Harden in our team. If we didn't have him, we wouldn't have been in the playoffs. Take Leonard out of the Raptors and they would still finish top 4.

He was gifted the 1st Finals MVP giving up 30 a game. While playing with 3 HOFs. And scored 0 in a closeout game in the finals. Dude has had some fantastic luck and fantastic teammates on top of being a top talent. Morey hasn't gotten that done here.

first the criticism of harden was he didn’t sprint up the floor and demand the ball and allowed the rockets to go 4 v 4, now it’s that he has the ball in his hands too much. Harden can’t win lmao. HOH will twist the narrative to just put all the blame on harden.
Kawhhi let's his teammates involved and is happy to take the back seat when they have the hot hand. Meanwhile he does the small things like rebound, play solid D etc Harden pretty much needs the ball on every possession whether he is feeling it or not or just stands at the top of the key looking disinterested. How the hell are teammates going to get going when you've had no chance to get into any rhthym all night because the entire offense is predicated on waiting to catch and shoot at the 3 point line.
Excuses but ok. Whatever makes you sleep well. Record books will show Kawhi is a two time finals MVP with 2 rings while Harden has never made the NBA finals as the best player on his team.
