GS had only one timeout left . Kerr wouldnt use it so easily. Instead, Nick Nurse used TWO timeouts! (Raptor had 4) cos he didnt want to lose them

Nurse let his freshly inflated ego get the best of him.

same kind of fans can be found in each NBA city probably and this is certainly not a representation of the city of Toronto. unfortunately it's on video and is probably just as bad as some minority owner pushing a player. one good thing is the fans in the arena seemed to show their concern and at least displayed a sense of humanity as Durant was helped off the court.

My brain says Raptors in 6, my gut says Warriors in 7.

Any footage of Houston bars when Durant went down against us?

Nurse let the pressure of the moment get him and he panicked when there was no need to panic. Steph and Klay were winded, and it looked like they were ready to throw in the towel.

This actually made me appreciate D’Antoni that much more. I know he wouldn’t have called that timeout.;)

Yeah, they were probably just watching the Astros oblivious to the Rockets' existence.

Nurse has been making unconventional decisions throughout these playoffs. He's lauded when they work out, and if they don't work out he looks pretty dumb.

I'm in the camp of people who believe the effect of timeouts on momentum is way overstated. If there are hard numbers that suggest otherwise, I'd like to see it.

    Not in Basketball

Basketball is a rhythm and emotion game, which is why players can get hot. A timeout can kill that flow and/or quieten the emotion.

Just the eye test and game situation. If you have a player on one of those MJ/Kobe type of runs, there is no way you bail out the other team by breaking the momentum and flow of the moment. You let that sh*t happen.

I don’t have any hard numbers either but just speaking as a long time basketball fan, you never call that timeout in that situation. Nurse let a team that was reeling regroup. It cost them a ring last night.

I am always cheering for player injuries if it benefits my team winning. I am just a huge ******* and I don't really care.

without durant and looney i dont see how the warriors could win two times in a row. boogie was a liability. warriors was lucky they survived boogey meltdown in the last few minutes. almost everyone on the raptors could attack him at will. both curry and klay need to play like superstars plus refs help just to offset what raptors could do to boogie/boguts defense.

Agreed. The clutchfans MDA timeout thing needs to die.

I think Nurse was also thinking of Kawhi. Probably hoping he could get him enough rest to close it out at the end. Didn’t work out.

i'm still thinking raps pull this out. i don't seen golden skin's guards draining that many contested 3's for 2 more games. what i'd really like to see though is donkey getting that 7th tech in game 6 and then being suspended for game 7

I have a feeling Warriors won't lose at home once again.

It's going to go to 7 but if I was a Warriors fan, I would be worried about Draymond picking up another technical.

If he does, they have no chance in game 7

At first I thought it was GSW that called the timeout to stop the bleeding. When I realize it was the Raptors, I was left scratching my head. You're on a ROLL and have the MOMENTUM, what do you need a timeout for?? Just go for the jugular!
