You didn't answer the question. How does negotiating an extension help to encourage him to quit? If I'm trying to convince you to quit, I'm certainly not going to start negotiating an extension with you. Instead, I'm going to make it obvious that you're a lame duck and gone after one more year.

This is a bunch of people speculating about rumors that they read. We have no idea what's going on. How do we know that an extension isn't already in place and will be announced once the new coaches are hired? Maybe D'Antoni wants a longer extension that what the Rockets are comfortable offering? He is almost 70. Bottom line is that we don't know.

We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. People are reading whatever meaning they want into it and others are taking it as fact.

Ty Lue let LeBron run the team and would do the same for Harden. If we were going to get rid of MDA id bring in Marc Jackson.

Walton would have been a decent look if he wasn't a perv.

Doc or Carlisle are the names we know, obviously that isn’t happening. I would go for new blood, but I don’t pay enough attention to know who that would be.

Ty Lue would be a downgrade from Pringles. Yes he won, but he went viral being disrespected by his own players. Lebron Kyrie and Curry being hobbled won that chip. I would like someone who has more of an iron fist for the rockets.

    Player and coach championships
    Playing experience with many LEGENDS
    Tons of experience facing Worrirers
Experience with SUPERSTAR PLAYERS with DIVA qualities
    Experience dealing with controversy
    Experience dealing with disrespect
Great relationships with really good players who respect the hell out of him
    Defensive-minded coach
    PnR Offense
    He's available

There are a few more reasons but don't sleep on Ty Lue.

Carl loves this type of stuff. Stein throws out some speculation and it gives Carl fuel to go on a fake news rampage.

How much does Tillman have to pay MDA if he's fired ?

How much does Tillman have to pay MDA if he quits ?

He's trying to get him to quit (assuming we want him gone ) because it will save him a few buck

He's trying to trade CP3 so we don't have to pay LT :)

It’s not like D’Antoni didn’t watch the Warriors run the same play 10x in a row. He saw the defensive issues and is probably ok with a more competent defensive assistant

If it's all about money then he wouldn't have fired the assistant coaches, right?

We don't have to pay the luxury tax with CP3.

Like I said, we don't know what's true and what's not or what's actually going on. You can't take a bunch of speculation and treat it as fact.

lol; i bet TIlman said we'd love to have you back next year. If you can get over the hump, we'll extend you and if not, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. MDA is like ...um ...i want a longer term commitment. James likes me; don't make James mad.

Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

It never plays out as anyone thinks it will on CFs.

I heard MDA say he wanted an extension but didn't hear that they were negotiating one. Have you heard that they are negotiating an extension?
