kinda shows what MDA thinks of Shump if he hasn't started yet. we are a better team when Gordon comes off the bench.
I watched Shumpert closely as he tried to defend against Thompson and Curry since he brings nothing offensively. He was horrible! Curry drive right past him as did Thompson. Honestly, it just pisses me off that the boy genius gave up a first round pick for this guy. Yeah, hopefully House takes his minutes, and soon.
Shumpert Blows. His only redeeming quality, defense is a joke. If he can't get up for the Warriors, no point in having him. I never liked him on the cavs, always seemed to brick wide open 3's. Apparently, he is focused on his rap career and has a reality show or something. Clearly not focused on bball.
It’s not about who’s better, it’s about who fits the system, House can do a little bit evething. He’s better shooter. And he has confidence and he knows he’s role.
But i thought our big splashy trade deadline move was to acquire Shumpert's talent and his oh so perfect fit on this team which totally has nothing to do with lux tax saving. Our GM and owner wouldn't lie to us like that would they? How does a gleague talent beat out our dream target like that?
Pick a scrub, any scrub -- Carmelo, Enn15Clubber, Shumpert, Michael Carter-Williams, James Nunnally -- Danuel House better than any of them.
shumpert's D has been crap since returning from the knee injury. constantly getting beat off the dribble, missing switches, and committing brainless fouls
The weirdest thing about these two guys is how much harder Shumpert appears to work on defense (than House does), without any noticeable difference in their effectiveness. Shump seems more focused and hyper, with quicker feet, but House has an uncanny sense of positioning and rotation, which seems to be at least as effective, if not more so, in a switching defense.
Here's Shump's hyper, quick feet method to defense There is noticeable difference to me. House is a better defender. It was apparent in December as well. Shump appears to be all talk.
