I, too, hope he keeps escalating every conflict. Every time he "owns teh libz" he just drives another nail in the coffin of his presidency.

I'm sure he han win reelection with the worshipful adoration of his 30% hardliners and literally nobody else. Math works bbn on that, right?

So why should Trump even consider running for re-election in 2020. Since you already called the election results.

I'm not calling the results. I'm saying every time he acts like as ass he pushes the needle. I'm sorry if that seems like spooky voodoo fortune telling to you. Seems like basic cause/effect to me.

This dude has been bullying the government since he has been in office now he comes up with this plan which was offered already.Changing from a concrete wall to a steel one makes no difference .Although he did make one good point about wanting to fix the system .

Have they really? I mean, they are pretending to no longer support things they supported as of just a few years ago specifically because of who is suggesting it and you say they are working with him?

Fair enough, but: When the government is shut down...what do you think their job is?

Undoubtedly you're right. I'm sure you guys have nothing to worry about. Trump should stick it to the libtatds every chance he gets.

That's a loaded question. I'm assuming that you want me to said their priority is to re-open the gov, and I would agree. That doesn't mean, however, they should be not be allowed to do their usual job functions. In fact, I think Congress should pass a law where when the Gov is shutdown, NO ONE get to go home and they all must work, day, night, weekend, until the Gov is re-open.

    I wouldn't disagree with that.

My reason for bringing it up is that while gamesmanship was certainly a big driver in what Trump did...he did also have a point. One I would agree with (and it seems you would too).

Anyone find it ironic that when government is shut down...Congress still gets paid?

His point was that Pelosi and all member of Congress and all members of his admin shouldn’t be going anywhere until the shutdown is over?

If that was his intention, he would informed her, Congress, the admin of that intention. He wouldn’t pull the plug on this trip at the very last min and having them find out while literally on their way. He would have applied the same grounding toward everyone, not just this group.

Take all of that plus his history and his public display of i’ll will hit you back harder, it’s pretty clear he was retaliating. The point, if he made it himself, is an excuse as a cover for his actions. I wish people stop rationalizing childish behaviors.
