Not an excuse but scoring overall is WAY UP and the smart folks are saying it's because of the 14 second shot clock rule. More shots are going up as pace is higher across the league.
They are viable if we have James Johnson and Tucker to man the 5 spot. Or Tucker and ....... Luc to man the 5 spot. Or Tucker and Melo playing the 5. Which is where we are likely headed without a trade. Closers - Harden Paul Gordon Tucker Melo. That's who would close games with the Warriors if we were in a playoff series with them today. Not Capela.
So according to you he's at his ceiling....right? Notice: Nary a word about finishing conference finals or Finals games as the center on the court.
No they're not. We're already getting dominated by athletic bigs so you want to get older and slower? You have to get to GS before you actually play them. With your plan we would miss playoffs or be out in first round to Pelicans. And we don't have James Johnson or Luc so this point is useless.
His skillset and abilities are perfect to play off of Harden and CP3. There is no big man on the market who would be an upgrade over Capela for the team currently built.. Tyson Chandler, McGee, and Zaza most certainly are nowhere near Capela and any GM would JUMP at the chance to trade one of those guys for Capela if contract matching wasn't an issue.
Clicked this thread to see if there are any new developments on Jimmy B. I got a Capela thread instead...
you can literally use the search button and the exact same posts are recycled year after year from one person and capela. you would think someone would get tired of typing the same thing over and over especially when its been wrong
Yeah... We're not talking about trading C as pela for one of those guys. I'm taking about trading Capela for a 3/4/5 combo player that can switch and about and replacing him with a minimum salary very center or acquiring a vet center like Dieng/others to replace him. Capela is not a difference maker on this team when it comes to winning championships.
No. I want to get faster. Capela is keeping us from playing faster. James Johnson (and others) would be a much better fit and upgrade.
You obviously just don't get it. Holic is never wrong. NEVER. Even when he's way wrong, he's not wrong.
eventually when capela retires..... I told you guys he would be out of the league! my spreadsheet had this from the beginning
Yeah because there are just tons of centers out there The fact that we have a pure center at this age of NBA is blessing
on one hand I'm genuinely glad a place like clutchfans is around for a guy like @basketballholic. on the other hand i'm constantly amazed that dude is able to constantly and quickly dominate threads into garbage
No it's not. The blessing in today's NBA is to have centers that can switch defend and shoot the 3. "Pure centers" are common.
"Typing"? He probably has several stock phrases saved on a Word document. Just copy and paste, move them around. Each phrase is probably titled so he can go right to it. No keyboard action needed other than CTRL + C and CTRL + V. Capela mediocre Capela is mediocre at best and is holding us back. Need other center Another center would be ideal in our system and much better than Capela. Rubio + Thon Imagine pairing Rubio with Thon Maker. That would be a winning combination for the ages.
Zaza is faster than Capela? 35 year old Tyson Chandler is faster than Capela? 12 minutes of McGee is faster than 29 minutes of Capela? TF are you talking about?
