"These kids ain't lying to you.. I'm the Alligator Man." I love this show.. opening last night was soo funny.
Wife and I binged through most of the first season on hulu yesterday since we'd skipped it on it's initial release. We have the last 3 episodes of season 1 and whatever has come out for season 2. Really glad we did, show is great. My wife nearly fell off the couch during the final seconds of The Club episode with the invisible car......
The set up was just perfect with Darius showing Paper Boi the instagram earlier then its actually real.......great stuff......
Haven't seen this week's episode -- just stopping in to say any episode featuring Earn and his girl needs to be scrapped ASAP. That was awful.
Something must have been going on with Donald Glover during the writing of this season. You can tell after his reaction to losing the Deadpool animated series he is giving zero f-cks. Most of the levity in the series is gone. The episodes are even more disjointed than last season. I'm still enjoying the series, I just have to read reviews to get insight into what I'm actually watching.
What a weird season and even weirder last episode with benny. It seems like this Glover is using this season as a jumping off point in his directing career. Does it sem like hes trying to hit all points of genre and see where he can land a big role as director for anybody else
I don't think he needs to use Atlanta as a proving ground for directing. Glover already has enough juice to direct something if he wants to direct something. Peele just directed (and wrote) Get Out because he wanted to. No one was checking for him to be a director.
But what about backing and funding? Atlanta would give him more credence for investors, seeing a finished product, no matter what kind of movie/series. It sure doesnt hurt.
