Kubiak had him in his peak. That's not excusing the other guys of not using him, but Kubiak's whole conservative offense was part of why he never got enough targets in the red zone. I mean it wasn't like they tried to force it to AJ and it never worked out so they stopped doing it. I hardly remember times outside of a handful of instances where AJ went up and got a jump ball against 1 on 1 coverage. That's something AJ could do very well, maybe not to the capability of Calvin, but it was something he could definitely do well.

I'm not necessarily saying his impact would be as good as Calvin's, but I'm saying that given the same amount of Red Zone targets Calvin used to get (especially when he had 1 on 1 coverage), Andre would've gotten a similar amount of TDs. He was good enough where you could even throw it in double coverage at times and he'd go up and get it. That's really not taking anything away from Calvin, but Andre was good at this as well as seen many times throughout his career.

They should wait to retire his jersey at least a couple of years to punish him.

They should make him play a season with Osweiler to punish him.

He's learned his lesson and destroyed the rest of his career and his legacy, time to bring him back home and accept his apology.

Imagine if he still had eligibility to play for college. It would make college football 10x more fun if athletes could come back and play after they've retired from the pro game.

Question, probably dumb. If you only play 3 years in college, and you went back to same college could you play your 4th year? What is the rule for after you leave? Like what if you didn't go to pros just took a year off of school hypothetically?

Andre and Arian should both sign 1 day contracts and retire as Texans.

Both 23 and 80 should be retired.

Not exactly sure, but remember Chris Weinke for the Seminoles? He played in his late-20s.

I can't believe there were people getting mad at him going to the Colts and Titans. It's a business and he gave us his best. Didn't get paid what he should have been paid but that is his representation's fault. Greatest TEXAN ever because of his CLASS. Even while playing for other cities he was buying toys during Christmas for kids in Houston. If the Texans were smart they would try and keep him around NUK, Miller and Fuller to help coach them.

AJ80 is a Texan and Houstonian for life as far as I'm concerned. If we were making a Mount Rushmore for the Texans, he's up there with #23 and #99.

Unfortunately, I think the 4th guy chiseled into that stone is Petey Faggins.

The irony is that AJ prolongs his career if he STAYS with the Texans. The CONTINUITY on the team would have benefitted him better than doing some recapture moves in other settings. Instead of being a mentor advisor, he could still be a PLAYER-mentor figure now.

Plus Texans WR core is just TOO young and inexperienced now. A veteran presense for Os wouldnt be bad. He would have low stats, but no one would be too mad with AJ in key drives instead of Strong and Mumpherey. But he left and burnt himself out quick, so its whatever now lol.
