I know I'm a Microsoft Shill, but I switched to Bing because it's better

Bing is better. I am going to give you an honest reason why I switched. And this is my real assessment, I'm not trying to push Microsoft.

One reason I like Bing over Google is the predictive search. If I, for example, type Keith Urban. In Bing, I get some information on him before I even search. Google doesn't do this.

Also, something related: say I ask Bing: who is Big Papi married to. I get a card with the name and the year that they were married in Google. Fine. Bing, on the other hand, doesn't stop there. It will also give me a link that I can click on her name and all the information about her comes up. It also shows David Ortiz's bio on the side as if I typed his name.

Also just for **** and giggles, type in Tiffany Ortiz in Google and compare that result to Bing's hyperlink? Who provides the better pictures, the more appealing page? Bing does.

Another reason I like Bing over Google is Bing's video search. Say I type: Hell's Bells in Bing. I get for my trouble a hero video (which Bing introduced) along with the lyrics (on the same page, to the right) for easy scrolling along with the video and in addition I get related videos.

Google, on the other hand, stops at the hero video. No lyrics, and if you click on video, you get all the same song, no related videos.

In bing, if you click on videos you get quite literally a database of options to refine your search, also you get a list of songs at the top that you can click and play that video and you get video preview.

Google believes that I should get every hack who ever song Hell's Bells instead.

Give your honest opinion here, who won that?

I'm going to give you one final reason I like bing, and this might be just personal preference, but say I type: Slaughterhouse Five. Both Bing and Google will give you a bio card on the right and a link to read a preview. My preference in this case is after you click to preview the book, Bing's preview is much easier to read as it gives you two pages not one to look at.

There are obviously a lot of other reasons I like Bing (like the presidential coverage and Bing Rewards, to name a few), and I haven't really explored everything Bing has to offer, but I thought I'd mention a few things.

Holy crap. I just searched "Is Harden a bad defender" and Bing returned articles of Dwights' lazy help defense last year...videos of WB and Kyrie punking Stephanie, Barkley's defensive lowlights, and (for whatever reason) that video of Shaq falling on his butt in the TNT studio

    I'm switching.

Nobody has taken the challenge to show why Google is better other than tradition and marketshare, and 5 year old articles. I know people are bias to what they know but bing is certainly better.

What, how many threads have you made about Bing?

If you search for Bing in Bing, does The Hangout come up in the results?

I think this is the first. I think people are hanging on to Google because they don't like change not because Google is better.

Alright bro. We all switched to Bing, and we've sudo rm -rf'd all our Linux machines and destroyed our Macs. We're all Microsoft now.
You did it! You converted all of us to the Microsoft promised land! Please stop shilling, you won!

    I've used both.

All your reasons for liking bing are fine.

I like Google very simply because if I make a search it gives the results I'm looking for. Even if I'm not specific it understands my gibberish and figures it out.

That's all I need a search engine and on deciphering the information I want, bings algorithm falls well short of googles.

    LOL, what's an algorithm?

I've shown several examples of how Bing provides better results.

I've also seen several attempts by people to show how Bing can be fooled and usually it's crap. The fact is Google has stolen from bing far more than bing has done the same.

One day after Microsoft announced that bing would include Twitter feeds Google made the same announcement. lol

People need to do their research. Bing is the innovator and has been for some time.
