Ordinarily in games such as these on national TV and in a prime time slot, The Texans make fools of them selves. I suppose there is no reason to expect this game will be an exception. Still, I hold out hope as the Broncos have some real problems, especially on offense. Maybe, just maybe Brock (with vengeance that you just know must be there) will take it to them and the Texans will rally. After all, The Texans know the main players like Kubes, Wade and the Denver game plan tendencies pretty well. Wouldn't it be great if we caught a whiff of BoB's offensive brilliance right about now? Go Texans!
I think this is something people are overlooking. If ever game planning was a key, it's this game. How many people within the organization know Kubiak and Wade very well? From Rick Smith to Brock to Antonio Smith, the answer is a bunch. It's not like they have Peyton Manning anymore. Siemien is not going to outsmart a coach's game plan by himself, and Kubiak won't let him. The system is the system, and we know it. They don't really know O'Brien and Crennel. This is the key to the game. Our coaches have been a letdown this year. Big time. I've been very disappointed in them. It's time for them to grab the season by the balls, know the hand the other guy is holding, and take huge advantage of that.
For sure, I think anyone would take that but I really want them to beat the Broncos given what it would do to silence a stupid national narrative. I think the Texans have a decent shot to beat the Lions given that they've been even more inconsistent than the Texans thus far this season so even if they fail against the Broncos they can still salvage 5-3
I'm with you on this, we definitely can beat the Broncos. It would be sweet being 6-2 and getting some well deserved R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!!
I think this just might be O'briens biggest game of his career. Although they're the reigning SB champs, I don't see this turning out well if we get up there and he's simply out coached by his predecessor. This is Kubiak for goodness sake, this team of all people should be readily prepared and I'm not taking a "slow start" or any other sorry excuse as an explanation for getting blown out on national tv once again.
Pick 'em site has Broncos winning with 94% of the votes... Didnt realize it was THAT one sided, really hope we pull off the upset.
Like I said earlier, I'll be fine if we can take one of two from the Broncos or Lions and 5-3 heading into the bye week.
Kubiak/Phillips knows a lot of our roster still and has coached Brock. Coaching advantage goes to Denver.
The Texans appear to be relatively healthy (not including guys out for the season or longer term). Allen, Brown, and Fuller are full participants in practice. Only limited guys were Aboushi (shoulder), Clowney (wrist), and Simon (shoulder).
