Mario did us a favor by signing elsewhere. He'll be injured on someone else's dime and be bored real quick in Buffalo. As long as we keep Wade and keep plugging blue chip defensive players from the draft, we'll be alright.
Buffalo is a wasteland and it's nasty and cold. How unapplealing. Wonder if his finacee will sign a pre-nup....because she NEEDS to get paid to agree to live in freaking Buffalo.
I've known his fiance since elementary school. She was an employee for the Texans at the time that they met. Genuinely nice girl from a nice family (her mom was my 5th grade teacher). With that being said, pay me $100M and i'll live in Siberia. I wouldn't exactly call this a wasteland:
Not trying to sidetrack this thread ,so I apologize up front. I was hoping someone could explain to me in laymans terms how the new salary cap set at 120million and some change will effect the teams that are way over it? It seems like we had to make some serious cuts just to get under the cap but according to these payrolls there are a couple of teams way over the cap. Thanks St. Louis Rams $120,982,904 Detroit Lions $122,760,121 New York Giants $124,735,807 New York Jets $128,092,733 Dallas Cowboys $128,910,735 Carolina Panthers $129,962,768 Oakland Raiders $140,861,316 Pittsburgh Steelers $149,885,537
Well, for that kind of cash, Mario can buy a Camaro for every cop in Western New York, and maybe half of those in Toronto for the couple of games a year they play there.
i work with this guy, have been for five months and found out just wed that he's from buffalo. he says the falls are awesome, i've never seen them.
The easy answer is that as of, IIRC, this past Monday, no teams were over it. They weren't allowed to be. So assuming those numbers were accurate and very, very recent, then they likely did restructuring, cuts, etc., to reduce their number. But my guess is that your #s were older and likely still counted soon-to-be free agents' 2011 salaries.

Went to the Falls this summer. They were amazing. Definitely something that should be on your bucket list. Mario is past his prime.
A Mercilus, Watt, random NT (Wilfork?), Mario, Clowney line would be fairly ridiculous but I just don't see it happening.
JJ Watt is the only non-QB worth 100mil. Lol all these guys getting cut or traded after signing their huge triple mil contracts. Revis, Haynesworth, Mario... probably Suh soon too. Miami fans hating on him
