Agreed. I’ll go far too say with how Tennessee came about an AFC Championship game vs them is the biggest NFL game in Houston history.
We are going to get blown out today. That’s all there is to it. it’s hilarious because I can’t believe the titans made it to the afc game... just our luck that we’re going to lose today
The Oilers were expertly adept at giving you just enough hope in order to destroy your fandom for all-time. We'll see what the Texans have in store for us today.
It's not disrespect to the Astros. Football will always be king, though. And against the Oilers, to go to the Super Bowl?!? You guys are kidding yourselves of you think not. Of course, we have to win today.
I forgot there was football yesterday. WTF happened lol. Unbelievable the Texans could actually host an AFC championship game.
The NBA has always been a distant third when all pro sports teams exist here. A Texans win today instantly makes this a very Texans-crazy town overnight. Would be the most football crazy this city has been since luv ya blue.
Football is and will always be king. By nature of a one game playoff, the games are bigger. Game 7 against the Knicks maybe, but it wasn't against a former Houston team, and football will always be bigger than basketball in this town. I'll recuse myself now, though, because I'm bad juju talking about this too much.
I’m pretty anxious for 2pm to get here. Really hoping second half of Buffalo game Watson shows up. He can dominate teams when he is on.
I know pretty much everyone (Texans fans included) expects a loss today, but a win today gives them a chance to flip the script on the franchise. It'd be kind of amazing not to have "Texans" be synonymous with "mediocrity."
There's a first time for everything and it would be great for Texans to host championship game next week for chance to go to the Super Bowl. I just can't bring myself to go too all in on the Texans. This organization has done nothing but disappoint up to this point. Things have set up perfectly for them. Can they handle the pressure? The Titans already making it makes the pressure even more intense for the Texans to go ahead and make it imo. Will be interesting to see how they respond to this opportunity.
Only fitting that Jim Nantz will be calling this historic football game today for The City Of Houston
All the pressure is on the Chiefs. They have a road to the Super Bowl that consists of two home games against the awful AFC south, facing a #4 seed and a #6 seed. They’re facing two coaches who have never coached in a conference championship game. They’re facing a QB in only his third playoff game... and they follow that up with a backup QB who has never played in any sort of title game ever. additionally, the last time the Chiefs went to the Super Bowl was 1970, for a franchise that moved there in 1963. THAT is pressure. Being a Texans fan doesn’t have much on that... so of course they could easily pull off an upset and continue the misery for the KC fan base.
