I love how opponents are shaking their heads saying, "that's Deshaun being Deshaun" and "I knew he was going to do something like that. He just had to do it in overtime." They expected it to happen it is not just lip service for the cameras.
forecast still shows mostly sunny, come sunday. the only thing the texans have to worry about is the actual freezing weather
You can tell Watson has the respect of others. it was cool seeing how jacked up the defense was on the sideline after The play.
The NFL Films stuff is always just so well done. Takes me back to watching Inside the NFL in the late 80s/early 90s.
They keep asking him. It's like they don't understand what game-time decision means, lol. Not that I blame them for continuing to ask!
Kelce and Jones both listed as questionable. Not sure what that means, lol. Will Fuller questionable (i.e. will play) or truly questionable? EDIT - from an article, with Andy Reid quotes: Kelce: “more a bruise than anything.” Jones: "tweaked his calf” during Thursday’s practice. He sat out Friday’s work. “We’ll just see how he does” Sounds like they're both playing.
they downplaying the Kelce news heard he got hurt playing basketball, no bullshit questionable from a bruise? really? I think he plays but they masking the seriousness in it
This wasn’t Kelce it was Jones... word on the street is that chiefs are down playing the injury big time and good chance he won’t play.
Fuller's unpredictability gets so old. We need him to be there for us. I swear he just needs GTD as his nickname because his whole career has been linked to game time decisions.
Post on Reddit: “The Chiefs defense was NUMBER ONE in the NFL since week 12 where they went up against the Chargers Broncos Raiders Patriots Bears I looked in to it more and compared it to when there defense was considered “bad” by everyone nationally. Week 2 Raiders against BAD Chief defense Chief Defensive stats- 327 yards, 10 points, 2 interceptions, 3 sacks Week 13 Raiders against GOOD Chief defense Chief Defensive stats-344 yards, 9 points, 2 interceptions, 2 sacks Week 7 Broncos against BAD Chief defense Chief Defensive stats- 284 yards, 6 points, 0 interceptions, 9 sacks Week 15 Broncos against GOOD Chief defense Chief Defensive stats- 252 yards(number is skewed due to playing in a blizzard), 3 points, 1 interception, 2 sacks Week 11 Chargers against BAD Chief defense Chief Defensive stats- 446 yards, 17 points, 4 interceptions, 2 sacks Week 17 Chargers against GOOD Chief defense Chief Defensive Stats- 393 yards, 21 points, 2 interceptions, 3 sacks Averages against same opponents? GOOD KC Defense 330 yards, 11 points, 1.7 interceptions, 2.3 sacks BAD KC Defense 352 yards, 11 points, 2 interceptions, 4.7 sacks The numbers speak for themselves. I predict Houston to move the ball on Sunday.” It kind of works against that narrative that the Chiefs defense is all of a sudden good.
I rewatched the last Texans-Chiefs game and one of the things that stood out was the number of drops Fuller had in that game. The Texans would have probably won by a bigger margin if he wasn't dropping passes. I'll say it again I trust Stills more. The other thing I noticed was the Chiefs offense truly was out of sync (players coming back from injuries). Even though the Texans defense has gotten better, I still expect Mahommes and company to move the ball. There was also an incredible number of penalties. The game was so sloppy. Watson had a lot of time and there were holes for Carlos and Duke. If Jones is truly unable to go, the line SHOULD hold up fine. Fells and Coutee were featured more prominently back then. Things have since changed for both of them. Expect a heavy dose of the running backs. This truly is a winnable game for Houston. I'm ready. Let's go!
