Who handles the Rockets Twitter account?

Did the organization say this or was it coming from one individual? If one individual does the organization have to clear everything that is said?

    To me it's just petty.

    Let it freaking go.

You can't control what other people think, but always crying and whining about any and everything is childish.

    GROW THE F UP!!!

This is a complicated issue and should never be stripped down to asinine statements like "if you don't agree you aren't a fan."

Part of fandom is being invested in the players on your team.

Would Utah fans really trade all of the years of enjoyment they got out of Malone/Stockton for 1 NBA title from some mercenaries that were gone the next year? Maybe some would.

A championship is the crowning moment for a fan obviously as it pays off the emotional investment, but the only reason it matters is if you are invested. For me that means being invested in the players. A championship doesn't get me paid, doesn't get me a ring, doesn't go on my resume. The only reason it matters to me is because I pour into the team with my emotion, I invest in the players. I celebrate their successes. I suffer in their defeats.

That's MY fandom. Maybe for you the only thing matters is being able to say "The team I rooted for won a title. Don't care about the players, just care about being able to say I rooted for a champion." OK cool. I won't call you "not a fan" for that but our experiences are different.

They (the media) **** on the Rox if they stay quiet and they **** on them if they don't. What's the difference?

If I'm gonna get **** on regardless, I'd rather stand up for my guys in the process.

    1) Plenty of Rockets fan still love McGrady
    2) McGrady quit on the Rockets. That's an unforgivable sin for most fans.

Rockets fans still love Scola, Bev, Yao, etc. The hate on McGrady is because of the belief he quit on this team and that he's become a punk on national tv.

Edit: Absolutely though I recognize that many fans are in that "all I care about is championships" stage in the modern era. I think you miss out on a huge part of the experience but I won't question your fandom. You shouldn't do it to others.

Actually winning the WCF ensures you a trophy, maybe start at that?

Dream has a statue outside of TC. Enough said. Fans honor champions, not runner ups.

No wonder Harden continues to flame out in the post season w little accountability, the message from the organization is loud and clear. Hollow stats > championship rings

This is a pathetic look for a franchise.

OK for the media to clown Harden/Rockets ... not OK for the Rockets to support their guy. o_O

"I was looking for James Harden but in playoff fashion, he didn't show up."

Don't Stock/Malone have them outside of whatever hellhole the Jazz play in these days? Fans honor legacies.

    Bagwell/Biggio have statues at MMP.

Should Oiler fans trash on Earl Campbell?
    Nolan Ryan? Eff THAT guy.
Those Randy Johnson starts in 98? Waste of time.
    Moses Malone? LOSER lol
    Ralph Sampson? Choker!
Calvin Murphy? Get that scrub out my mentions! Only talk to me about championz!

I don't know if this your point, but it's perfectly reasonable to think the Rockets felt the need to support their guy given the fact he was getting dunked on all night and all offseason by NBA media. They run him down constantly and then the Rockets chirp up and it's like [IMG]

Its not petty. They "respectfully disagreed." Its not that big of a deal.

They are just letting the world know the facts. Even with Hardens historic accomplishments this season, when people look back on this and see the awards they will probably assume Giannis was better or more valuable but that counted be further from the truth.

They are trying to bury my mans greatness behind people oozing over Giannis' potential. He might eventually be more valuable than Harden but he is not yet.

Harden quit game 6 at HOME in the playoffs against a a Spurs team without Kawhi and Tony Parker

Many fans seemed to have forgiven that

This a non factor. You failed to mention the failed expectation aspect. We gave up alot for that damaged goods McGrady. Yeah it was entertaining having him here but it ultimately set us back further. He didn't last long here. I was watching on TNT when he did the 13 point in 35 seconds. We played a abysmal game. It was entertaining but not nearly as entertaining as watching the Rockets go back to back. It was a indescribable feeling especially on all the big 3's...we were a TEAM.

FYI....McGrady has always been a punk. I lost respect for this supposed superstar when we lost to the freaking expansion team. Should have known he didnt have it him. Harden x100 better than McGrady will ever be...
