Getting rid of a bad contract and most likely getting younger and more athletic will look bad on the org?

 

The biggest indicator to me that Morey is telling the truth is that he isn't doing usual GM hem hawing. He's apparently gotten very frustrated by these reports to the point of expressing extreme exasperation with reporters over it.

yeah. to me people shouldn't really think that there wasn't some kind of frustration between players. I fully believe something along those lines happened. but this is competition at the highest level and the stakes are as high as can be for this team. But to the level of what some of these guys are trying to report. Nah. These guys are taking those instances and trying to blow it up x10. and for whatever reason, guys who have had no connection or stories concerning the rockets ever, are piggybacking off one story after another.

Two relatively unknowns who turned up to be unprofessionally Rockets haters. One with egg on his face after CP3 himself debunked the premise of his entire article. The other sticks his face out wanting egg too. All for that engagement rate during the dead part of the nba offseason before the draft and free agency. In order to save credibility, they help each other out by putting on a segment to say CP3, the horse’s mouth, is not as reliable as their “source” about CP3.

All got a bump because they wrote a trash story. Let’s stop giving these guys more opportunities please. Companies need to understand that engagement rate isn’t always reflective of people wanting your product. Once your content is deemed a fabricated, you lose followers.

Yeah, I imagine that Daryl actually has been making those calls to see if there's any way possible to ease this tension AND dump that albatross contract at the same time. There's way too much smoke for there not to be at least something smoldering a little in that locker room.

And people can argue all they want about whether or not CP3 is still effective (I think he's very effective), but he's only worth $40M a year if he sets his ego aside and does everything he can to make this team better. Harden earned his $$$ last year; CP3 did not.

Stephen A just said that he spoke with CP yesterday. He said that Paul told him that he never asked for or demanded a trade. He said that he didn’t say whether or not he wanted out though. He said that he just didn’t address it.

All of these reporters especially russillo are LA guys and now that the Lakers are relevant again and have a shot at the title now with the warriors out these reporters are going to try their best to make it seem that the rockets are in turmoil so that no free agent will want to go there. The rockets are the threat for the Lakers and all the LA reporters are going to do their part to help their team. Russillo hates harden with a passion
