Must be a tough life for Jeremy Lin not being in the 'right' situation. He should demand a trade like he's Anthony Davis There's a perfect situation for Jeremy Lin, it was called a winning streak that got lots of media attention. That situation was over, along time ago. @CometsWin
Yup...definitely tough for any player who finds themselves in situations that are not right for them. Guys like Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, etc. totally lucked out by getting into a situation that was right for them. And even the superstars like Lebron, Durant, and others keep looking for the right situation...it's really tough to be in the wrong situation. For Lin, in addition to having that situation with D'Antoni and the Knicks, he also had that situation in Charlotte and the Nets. Unfortunately, injury kept him from taking advantage with the Nets. But of course, Lin is not the type of player to demand a trade. Like he has done with every team he's been with, he does his best to do what the coaches and organization ask of him, and it's that level of maturity that has gotten him a reputation as a good locker room influence.
The Hawks aren't going to do much other than make moves to help with cap space and future picks at this point. Admittedly, the Dorsey trade seems like it didn't really do much...swapping similar expiring contracts, but maybe they did it as a favor to Dorsey since he wasn't playing much and they didn't foresee re-signing him. But with Shump going to Houston and Barnes going to Sacramento, seems like Bazemore and Lin probably are staying put.
Bazemore has a big ($19M/year) contract with a year left after this year on it, so not the easiest thing to move. But also heard the Hawks GM say that for any of these players (Baze, Lin, Dedmon, Prince) that they would have only traded those guys for something really valuable in return (eg. 1st round pick) because he is really happy with the current team energy and culture and wasn't willing to risk losing these players and the locker-room influence they have for something that wasn't a blow-you-away asset.
you are pretty slow for a LOF everyone read this already I guess he's given enough mentoring to trae young
