Let's be real here. That crapy ROKiT jersey patch? The China themed alternate jerseys? // They make money. // Money helps pay the Luxury Tax // Paying the Luxury Tax for good players help the team. // Just cost of doing business. Also, don't get caught up in the CITY name for those jerseys. The REAL CITY jerseys are the BLACK ones. BUT, for the Rockets to wear the BLACK ones "right away" they have to "name them" the STATEMENT JERSEY. (leaving the China ones as the CITY Jersey). It is just semantics to allow the team to wear the black ones right away when they have to "wait" on the CITY ones down the road. As far as the China jerseys go, I find these interesting. I like the change of pace color scheme. I reserve total judgement until I see them on the players and on the court in a basketball setting.

Wouldn’t mind rotating them in. It’s the fact that we don’t have a throwback mustard and ketchup jersey, because we have these instead that is lame. Also, I wouldn’t mind a Houston Strong themed city jersey. Again, if these jerseys were a bonus on top of those, I wouldn’t care.
