This may have been addressed somewhere, but why does Butler keep bouncing around from place to place? That would be my concern. That, and the Wolves are asking too much. There were times when Gordon was our only option. And even the Rox lost, I thought Gordon acquitted himself well in the Dubs series.
Keep bouncing around? He was with the Bulls for like 7-8 years, and then Minnesota for one. It's not like he's Dwight Howard. 3 teams in 10 years is hardly bouncing around...... especially when you spent a year in one place, and realized that the culture and players there were never going to win a championship. I think this whole "Jimmy is a cancer" thing is WAY too overblown. He would be fine here because he'd be surrounded by guys who know how to win. You know who else has played for 3 teams? LeBron and CP3.
100% agreed. This organization traded for Ron Artest and he helped the Rockets put together one of the most inspiring teams in franchise history.
Last year, and this year, I am continuing to say Qi will be a great defender and has the necessary tools to defend Durant.
They are the same. Butler was asking for a Renegotiation + Extension, which could/would get him the Max, same as free agency. (An extension *only* for him would have capped at ~$23m starting salary). [This info applies to regular Veterans only, not Rookie scale contract extensions, nor DPVE extensions). Spoiler A renegotiation is asking for more money to current years of a contract (limited only by your player Max). An extension is more years (but limited to a 120% raise). A Renegotiation and Extension is asking for both more money and more years. However, the increase to your salary in a Renegotiation must fit under the cap, too. A team must spend their cap-space on your raise. So, they are rarely done.
he’s been with the Bulls and Wolves...2 bad organizations the Wolves are showing once again why they’re 1 of the worst organizations in the NBA the only reason the Wolves are looking to get rid of him is because he’s made it clear that he’s gone after the season because as Jimmy said, they can’t win sh*t without him, they need him, they’re soft
Guess everytime this is posted, we need to point out that players refuted it....Shams was trolled. Teague and John Lucas III (MIN player dev coach) went to twitter to refute that.
Why does everybody think the Suns are gonna buyout Ariza? They didn’t give him 15 million to get rid of him midway through the season for zero compensation. I’m I missing something ?
Never mind that they are still hanging on the Chandler's contract and have never bought out any player.
This really sucks, not only for Minnesota but for all teams rumored to be in discussion with them for the trade. EGo and Tucker must know by now that if we were to make a deal for Butler that they would likely be dealt for him. Majority of the players from Miami are rumored to be on the block if a deal was to go down. Instead of just focusing on the upcoming season, these teams has this cloud hanging over their heads until Minnesota actually gets their act together. As a fan, I'm ready to roll with the team we have and think we are a much better team than last year with the addition of Ennis, MCW, Clark, Chriss and Melo. Also excited about the possibility of a bounce back season from Knight. This Butler fiasco really needs to end as soon as possible so all teams involved can move on.
