went ahead and pretty much ordered what you suggested. went with that LG monitor as well. i think if i move the case down to the floor instead of up on the desk as its currently sitting the LG monitor should fit. figure it out once the time comes haha. big ass monitor haha
Grats. Just make sure you have at least 24 inches of depth space on the desk. This is a massive monitor. I prefer to keep my case down on the floor.
are there any similar monitors to the LG you'd recommend that have the same quality? i got an e-mail from the retailer selling the monitor on amazon...said the one they had in stock isn't usable or something so they contacted the supplier assuming LG...said it was on backorder and it could take up to 8 weeks to get more in. they'll offer a full refund if i let em know. do i wait it out or consider another?
Newegg is selling it on their ebay store for $634 but today might be your lucky day. Today they have a site wide coupon for 15% off anything over $25. Coupon code is PRONTO15. Link to the monitor that newegg is selling on ebay. $539 with free shipping. Coupon expires in a few hours so hurry. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-43MU79-B-Matte-Black-43-42-51-diagonal-UHD-4K-Monitor-350nits-HDMI-Dis/292219074550?epid=917950152&hash=item44099d37f6:g:t6MAAOSw1JVaCadP&_sacat=0&_nkw=LG+43+monitor&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC0.A0.H0.XLG+43+monito.TRS0
BTW, based on what you wrote, it looks like you were buying that monitor from a third party seller and that too used. Be careful when buying stuff from Amazon if not directly from amazon. If buying from Amazon, it will say on your checkout screen "Sold and hipped by amazon". if not, a third party seller is selling it to you and in that case you want to do your homework on them. Looks at their reviews and what their return policy is. Generally I stick to amazon as the buyer and avoid third party.
Personally I stick to stuff that's shipped and sold by Amazon or at least FULFILLED by Amazon, in which case it's still okay to me, because Amazon will still take care of you if something goes wrong with a 3rd party's products that they fulfill.
