Ok, so in the course of this conversation, that's 4 separate times you've referred to tinman and Rockets fans in a negative manner. Without any more insults, can we stay on topic now and get to the true meaning of being a real fan of a team?
The rocket fans that I know don't share the same opinion about Lin as Tinsane and those that keep calling him a scrub. Also, they don't use wonton soup or bubble drinks to poke fun of lin fans. These are the real rockets fan who understand that lin did not meet expectation but gave his best in whatever role the team needed for him because he for all for winning as a team. A true fan understands this fact. I can see tinman still wants to act like a child and keep putting me and others down. This is not the first time and he has to be called out for his behavior.
It's hilarious that these guys spend so much time discussing a mediocre player in J.Lin. Even more hilarious that these guys continue to entertain and feed the most obvious troll/liar the internet has ever seen in coltnyc. I mean... it's pretty ****ing sad.
Just to be clear in case you've missed it. You offered to school me on the nature of team fandom. I politely offered to listen and suggested several times to refrain from using insults. You agreed, and yet you continue with disrespectful language directed towards other Rockets fans. I agree that Lin did not meet expectations. I also agree that he gave his absolute best. That does not preclude me from having feelings about his performance. But, how is this the true meaning of being a real fan of a team?
Maybe a new thread is better idea if you really want to stay on topic and discuss. What's wrong with being a fan of the player?
he's implying that rockets fans on a rockets board talking about other nba players know what team he's on. he's not talking about lin fans who's purpose is to troll the his current team's fans. Lin isn't a Rocket anymore and we'd like it if his fans left our board and migrate if they haven't done so to another board. that's just the bottom line.
this is not espn, this is clutchfans. it's not about general fans. it's about rockets fans . the topic is about jeremy lin, but the audience and participants should only be rockets fans.
A real fan will support their team in victory and loses. The team and the fans are one. It is the team with all it's players and coaches that results in wins or lost. If you support the team than you don't single out one player or one game as the reason we won or lost. This seem to be missing in many of the posters here whenever they talk about lin on this thread. It's only insults and very distasteful posting. If Tinman were to say Lin underachieved as a rocket and had some bad plays in the playoff in our loses but also had help us bounced back in the next game, I would say he is a real rocket fan.
It is posting like this that I need to insult those that insults me. At this points it's not about the rockets anymore....gloves are off.
You don't speak for all Rocket Fans. Many been a fan before you were born or there were a Clutch forum. They can be a fan of lin or any other sport figure if they like and still be a fan of the team.
Surely there is room for fans to criticize players. Many, many fans do it all the time and it's not an issue. How can you say that the true meaning of being a team fan is to never critique or single out bone-headed plays and the players who made them? And once again, is it possible for you to continue this without negatively characterizing other posters?
