After first half against the Hornets, Porzingis has 17 points, 9 rebounds & 1 block in 17 minutes. Wow.
still laughing at Carmelo's reaction. Guess Phil knew something after all. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13154402/carmelo-anthony-frustrated-new-york-knicks-drafting-kristaps-porzingis

If the name Kristaps Porzingis rings a bell to Thunder fans Friday, it’s because the New York Knicks rookie was reportedly in the Thunder crosshairs even before he landed in the Big Apple this summer. Two drafts ago, it appeared that the Thunder was ahead of the curve on the young Latvian. In 2014, an ESPN report said that the Thunder had made a promise to select Porzingis in the first round of the NBA Draft, but the then-under-the-radar 18-year-old ended up pulling his name out of the draft. At the time, he was projected as a mid- to late-first rounder. The Thunder ended up selecting Mitch McGary and Josh Huestis with its two first-round picks at Nos. 21 and 29, respectively. http://newsok.com/okc-thunder-knicks-rookie-kristaps-porzingis-could-have-been-a-thunder/article/5461522

Okafor wouldn't have been so troubled had he been drafted by NYK. He'd also help the Knicks considerably. They will both be special but Porzingis' defensive potential is really surprising.
Damn he reminds me of Yao so much. Watching Yao progress, watching him gain confidence every game, watching ppl doubt him as a rookie, this guy's journey is exactly parallel with Yao's. Hopefully he can stay healthy
I don't think DMo lacks confidence. Porzingis has 3 inches on him in height and 7 inches in wingspan though.
He turned out to be the best player in the draft. Lakers, Wolves, Sixers pass on this guy. That's why they suck
