While constantly Hollywooding. Just shut up, and show up with a hand. I thought in another thread like this, that the Rockets were on something like top pair with 2nd nut draw. A pretty, usually 2nd best hand at the showdown that ends up costing you a lot of money.
I can't believe anything OP says. An atrocious track record. He has been proven wrong time and again and will just keep making excuses for the front office. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/so-how-much-do-we-win-by-tonight.298688/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/rockets-will-win-game-2.298212/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/what-will-carmelos-per-be.293080/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/well-win-it-all-this-year.292993/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/the-how-would-you-like-your-crow-served-thread.292381/ I'll wait for crow

Looking at Morey and moobs he is probably playing beer pong or flip cup along with spaghetti challenge and donuts on a string... @Rasheed
marley holding on to low pairs while all other players at the table rocking straights and full houses.
NO! Building your team by spending money is a part of NBA BASKETBALL! They need to start playing BASKETBALL! Let's NBA!
All-time favorite basketballholic post. We're on the same side here. As for the actual topic at hand - I think most people around here are wildly over-reacting. I understand that we all want a shiny new toy on Christmas morning. I also understand it sucks when all your friends get the G.I. Joes you wanted and you're stuck with cap flexibility and luxury tax savings. But I think the Rockets are undeniably still a top 5 team in the league. I, personally, believe they will finish #1 in the conference this year as is with no additional major moves. The only fear I have is of Tucker and Paul, at their ages, regressing in a significant way. Otherwise the team we will be entering the season with is considerably better than the one we had last year. We desperately needed Austin Rivers when we got him and it will be a luxury to have him all season. I am starting to think the Rockets just plan a similar strategy of seeing who shakes loose in buyouts as the year goes on. That concerns me a little because last year the only team in the West we were really competing with for free agent allure was the Warriors. I think this year the Warriors, Lakers and Clippers will all have star duos in the West and LA, in particular, will likely be a more desirable landing spot. Especially considering the Lakers are in DIRE need of depth. Free agents can count on meaningful minutes there in a way they won't necessarily be able to with the Rockets. Additionally, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and possibly Boston could be in the running (Boston especially if it's a center that shakes loose). But again, I believe the Rockets are contenders this year as is. I think those of you who have them ranked 6th in the Conference are just disappointed we didn't get a shiny new toy and over-reacting as a result. Oh, but I do hope we manage a trade like the sign and trade of Shumpert for Iggy. I think Iggy can help us in depth but I think it more important that if there is a disgruntled star at the deadline (or even just an Otto Porter type) his salary would be wonderful filler and could be aggregated with some of these young guys (and picks of course) to get to a guy making up to 25-26 million without losing any of our other rotation players. p.s. Let's all hope the Magic waive MCW so we can pick him up.
