He showed superstar like moves, maybe not numbers but he was doing things better then most superstars pull off
Some of you forget that Ego was considered a budding star before injuries derailed his career. Now that he finally got healthy, we are starting to see what he can do and he is discovering things he is now able to do again.
Gerald Green / James White / Harold Minor has shown me superstar like moves, but def don't consider him a superstar.
All day on this. I think the goal was to have Anthony instead of Anderson. Same defense, same outside presence, better rebounding, better low post. Gordon is a stud and his underrated throughout the league. He can shoot as well as Klay Thompson. Two issues with Gordon, injuries and maybe a little less of an issue, erratic D. When he chooses to D up he is great but there are plays where he gets moody and takes off.
Gordon being an all star caliber player is not far fetched. The guy was on his way there until all the injuries. He was considered a rising star in the league and was the center piece for the CP3 trade back in the gap.
Except Gordon is actually consistent in his numbers. He's always gave 15-20 ppg and thus far has been showing these flashes. I mean it's not really accurate that compare him to those guys. He's already proven he's legit with sixth man of the year and leading in a three pointers
I dun see him a multiple allstar, guy is already 28 years old. If he makes couple of appearances, that would be great to behold. Or 1x Allstar title would skyrocket his worth even more. At best. At his worst he is a 14-16 ppg scorer with 2-3 apg which is still good.
Gordon is not a star and is only close to being all star caliber when he's at his absolute best which is something he can't sustain for that long...please stop overrating this dude he is a very nice weapon off our bench
But how do you know?. He obviously looks better this year. He improved last year and won sixth man. What's stopping him from going to another level. Spec with harden and Paul constantly challenging him. His injuries kept him inactive and from evolving in the previous years
The next in a long line of formidable players, including Terrance Williams, Jason Terry, KJ McDaniels, and, of course, Donatas Motiejunas.
there isn't another level. his role hasn't changed. hes not being asked to do more so saying hes going to reach another level isn't really ideal. he's the same player he was last year and theres nothing wrong with that. good player, always has been. Reigning 6th man of the year and has a very good chance to repeat that again
What is the logic to back this up? Until all his injuries, everyone thought he would become a star. If you are going to make statements like this or accuse people of overrating Ego, where is your evidence that he is not a star?
uh, his advanced stats, basic stats, and eye test show that he's not a star and is just a high level role player... everyone thought he'd become a star, and he didn't...stop overrating him and turning him into something he's not
So Gordon is magically going to morph into a star level player in his 10th season? He is a high level role player that shoots a large volume of threes and can create for himself and others at a decent at best level. At his absolute best he can approach all star caliber, but his absolute best isn't something he can sustain for an entire season.
