Maybe I will get to see "The Departed" this weekend after all. The BBS is back up and running. If you're not already seeing it at bbs.clutchfans.net it's because the name change hasn't grabbed hold just yet with your ISP. Shouldn't be too long before it takes effect. You can try this temporary name until then.
It was a long, painful day, but mercifully it's over and the end result should be a stronger server. If you need assistance or help, feel free to contact me at clutch@clutchcity.net.

Trying to get the problem drive swapped out at our hosting company has taken more time than we thought, so there is good and bad news. The good news is I already purchased/moved forward on a new server for the BBS. It should be stronger and faster and hopefully we'll see the benefit on those nights when Yao goes for 40 and the server gets Shanghai Shaked. The bad news is standard setup time for the box to be available is "24-48 hours". They know the situation, so they are trying to escalate and accelerate. I apologize for the downtime and inconvenience... trust me, it's rocked my weekend plans to the core. I'd call to cancel those plans, but I think my wife has been on the phone all day with divorce attorneys (OK, bad joke). I'll keep you informed as I have information to pass along.
We did get sent to us a new Rockets TV commercial that is not scheduled to air until October 16th. It's more of a "lighter side" commercial that stars Tracy McGrady and a season ticket holder. Look for it on the front page later today.

After our server provider performed a software upgrade this morning, the BBS server did not come back up and since about 5:30am we've been investigating a possible hard drive or operating system failure. We're working on swapping out a drive and getting everything restored, but until then, the BBS forum will be down. I'll keep you posted on any updates ... Thanks, Clutch |
