Well the year of the new rules is here, and if any of u guys have been watching the preseason you can see the noticable difference. Passing lanes are clogged and drives to the basket are damn near impossible. But from what I have seen from us and other teams, in a lot of ways it helps. With five guys on the floor, you've got drivers and shooters; and guys who do both. When Francis drives in and 3 guys flock to the paint to stop him he passes to the opposite side the three then turn to him, pass to the righ, pass to the top of the key....bam 3 pointer. Granted it does need to go in when you get those opportunities. And unfortunately we have relied on the three for years and it has been the death of us many times. I saw this play the other night against Portland and really opened my eyes to the new rules....Its so funny to still hear yahoos at the sideline yelling "ILLEGAL" "ILLEGAL".....the way I see it if handlers are having a bad game the shooters step up and vice versa. There are so many plays that can be run to use the new rules to our advantage, I just hope the staff see that and dont try and use the old plays that send guys running into walls. Ive seen that also........Guess Im just ansy....waiting for the season to start

    what ya think

I coach a little bit and to be real honest I lick my chops when teams play zone. there are so many holes that can be taken advatage of. If you have a few guys hit can hit the midrange jumper you can really hurt someone playing zone. I am willing ot bet the leauge will see that zones are bad because teams will be killing them. I am also willing to bet several teams will not go to a zone. . . the Jazz for one

yea, I don't know, but I haven't seemed to notice anything differently. I mean,..I saw an defensive 3 seconds or something that can be attributed to this, but I really can't as of yet say the outcome to be significantly different than what we have seen in the past. However, i really believe it's O so early in the game, so things that could change just might pop up.
