I had never used ZoneAlarm until tonight, pretty much as soon as i ran it, i started getting all these alerts... they never stop.. im up to 66 alerts as i type this and ive had it on for less than 10 minutes. Now i dont see anything in my taskmanager running other than the usual things. Ive ran anti-spyware software and according to that its clean. So is this normal? Or is there something wrong? now its up to 71......72... .. 83....

No, it isn't normal. Either it is working incorrectly on your system or you have a problem that needs to be found and fixed.

i have no idea.. the reason i even got zonealarm was because i ran netstat and noticed some connections that i didnt recognize at all. its all very strange... everytime i get the alerts, they are usually coming from the same IP.. id say about 6 or 7 different ones.. but its those same 6 or 7 everytime. ZoneAlarm is obviously doing its job by keeping them out.. but, does anyone know what this could be?

    It could be a Trojan.

You are probably getting the same alerts over and over. If you don't click the box that says don't show this alert again or something like that. You'll continue to get that alert.

Mlittle577 was right. but if you dont like zonealarm there is a new free firewall out called Comodo and its a little more user friendly than ZA.
