I was watching this Jordan 86 playoff highlight where he went off with
63 points. Don't get me wrong, Jordan was really good, but he was played straight up by a 6-3 defender in ISO after ISO to score his most points. Most
points were scored in the paint with little jumper or layup, no team will play him like that today, he'll be fronted by 2 defenders when he's 20 ft away from basket, like Kobe's defended regularly. And we are talking about a playoff game
vs. the best team of the time.

The checking fouls are big booster for Stern's baby like Wade and LBJ, but not so much for guys like Kobe and TMac, I don't see their Ft going up crazy.

If Jordan is to play today, he definitely had to face faster and stronger defenders like Bowen/Artest with constant double team, and he had to use a lot of jumpers to get his points, which would bring down his FG% quite a bit, no way he gets 37ppg with 50% shooting.

Jordan was relentless going to the basket and he got more calls than Wade when he was young so these new rules would help him a lot.

Artest would be considered weak and stupid back in the day. Bowen defending in the 80's would be comparable to Scotty Brooks.
