im ok with bringing him over before he's ready. teams do that with draft picks all the time. guys get better by being with the team. training with them on the court and in the weight room, and learning from our coaches. he can have wiltjer's spot.
He's no where near Yao's level and having to learn English on top of NBA game is probably too much. He should have been learning English the last year in preparation for this move.
Yea, you obviously haven't been paying much attention to the thread. I was simply answering a question. Ive stated many times in this thread he's not ready and no one should expect him to be. It's much easier to learn a language when everyone around you uses nothing but said language.
I still like Wiltjer's potential as Ryan Anderson/Steve Novak lite, even at his older age. Surprised he hasnt gotten more run with the big club. I wonder if Zhou is eligible for those new 2-Way contracts? Where he can go back and forth between D-League and Rockets without counting against a roster spot.
think young rookie Robert Horry- a skinny shot blocker who can hit 3's (but about 4 inches taller). People of course will think he's garbage and we should have drafted Harold Minor. But I can see him starting in Ryno's place.
