You know the one I'm talking about. The one from N64, but remade for Gamecube. Anyone have it? Anyone beat it?

I always beat any video game I've played. Accept for Ninja Gaiden on NES and now I am just freakin stuck in the Spirit Temple! Can't figure out how to get this one stupid box off of the blue blocks to open a ironed gate. :(

Been playing this room for 2 days now and just can't figure it out. And its driving me ****ING INSANE!

Could you describe the situation in a bit more detail? I might be able to help.

Meh. I've been playing it off and on. I'm still trying to finish Metroid Prime. The old Zelda can wait for a rainy day... I went to Best Buy today and got my first look (playing-wise) at Zelda: The Windwaker. Wow. It kicked ass. Animation was silky smooth, and the effects were very detailed. Link's facial expressions were great, depending on the situation he faced. If he was hanging from a ledge, he would look all fearful and worried. If he was fighting a bad guy, he would get this determined look on his face. Very nice. Can't wait to play this bad boy for real...

Big Blue blocks are usually moved by the Song of Time, Zelda's Lullabye, or Song of Storms. If that doesn't work try playing the Scarecrow song. I haev beaten the game on N64 and I remember there being one place that was a pain in the ass to get past and all you had to do was play the scarecrow song and hookshot over.Try one of those. If it is the Master Quest(It was only released in Japan) I haven't started that one yet. If it is the actual N64 game Ocarina of Time then I'll probably be able to tell you by the end of the week. I am at the Water temple now and plan on playing some the next few days.

On side note i just got my Gamecube about 2 weeks ago. I got a monster deal. i went to Best buy because they were selling the GC and you got NBA Street($20 value) for free + you got the Nintendo deal where you choose one of 4 games for freee also($50 value). So I go in and talk to the guy and he says "yeah that is the deal we have but one problem, we are out of NBA Street". He tells me though that they can subsitute it by giving me a 2nd choice from the 4 games Nintendo is offering. I also pre-ordered Zelda and got the OOT and OOTMQ for free(20$ value). So in all I paid $15 for the pre-order and the $149 for the system and a mem. card for $10. After using a gift card I walked out with a system, memcard, and $120 worth of games for $170.

I've been playing this game too. I never owned a N64 so this is my first time through Ocarina. I just finished the Forest Temple and am doing some sub-quest stuff before going up Death Mountain.

I wouldn't mind a little help, though. I just woke up the sleeping man in the Lost Woods with the blue cuckoo and returned his mushroom to the old hag in the potion shop. She gave me the "odd spell" item to give to the man, but when I returned to the Lost Woods he was gone. The girl there said something about him being turned into a Staflos.

Would anyone mind giving me a vague hint about where to find him? I don't want a full answer; just a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Also, I just spent well over 200 rupees (and a half hour of frustration) on that stupid shooting gallery game and all I got was the ability to hold 10 extra arrows. I wanted a piece of heart, damnit.

If he is already a Stalfos then he doesn't need the potion anymore. Maybe someone else in the forest does. That is the best hint I can give you without telling you exactly what to do. The person who you give it to doesn't ask for it.

Nice clue. I was thinking what to say, but wouldn't have been able to put it better that this.

The stupid blue box mystery was beyond stupid. I had tried all the scarecrow songs and hookshots and what not. I finally gave up and decided to read the link provided by AstroRocket.

    ***************************SPOILER******************

You have to play the stupid Time song in exactly a certain spot, and then go play it in another spot and then go back to the first spot and play it again! HOW THE HELL can anyone figure that out on their own! Pretty damn stupid.

Overall the game still kicks ass obviously! One of the top five ever!

    I got mine yesterday!

I'm still busy with Ocarina, though, and after that I'm going to take a break from Zelda and play Skies of Arcadia, so I won't be touching Windwaker for a while!

Hopefully I'll be finished Ocarina in a day or two. I collected the last of the medallions this evening. All that's left now (I think..) is to go through Ganon's castle.

I agree that Windwaker looks great. The only flaw that I've heard about it is that it's a tad on the short side.

Anyone know of any good games for GBA?

I've had only Super Mario Adventures 2 for the past 6 months, I got NHL Hitz, its a pretty cool game even though I don't like/know anything about Hockey. Seems every friggin GBA game is aimed at 6 year old kids. I heard the new Castlevania is pretty sweet. And I get any video game I want 30% off right now :)

I picked up Wind Waker on Tuesday, sank a few hours into it Tuesday night....and it is simply incredible. Lots of fun, and really nice animation.

Got my Zelda: Windwaker yesterday. What a sick game! The animation is sooooo smooth! My fiancee had to forcefully drag me away from the TV in order to stop me from playing. :D

Sorry to go off track, but did you beat the first Mega Man on NES? That's easily the hardest game I've ever played.

I beat Ninja Gaiden, but it was on an emulator. I just kept hitting save state after every level and just restarted that level if I died.

Yeah MM was very tough. I have an NES emu. I think I may have to give that savestate trick a try. I have been playing another of my favorite NES games lately. Baseball Stars.

Back on Topic. I played a little last night on WindWaker. It so far has been pretty easy. There seems to be lots of stuff to find. So far it has been pretty fun but I don't know if I missed something or what but I am not sure why I am trying to get different pendants. I mean I have played Zelda games before and I know how they work. It's just that the story this time seems a little incomplete. And then again I may have missed something since the majority of the time I spent playing my phone kept interrupting me.

I beat Mega Man alright. I beat the first couple of parts. But damn it was so long ago I barely remember the game.

And beating Ninja Gaiden on an emulator doesn't count. Especially if you keep on cheating like that. ;) I swear that game made me so freakin mad cause I couldn't beat it!
