I know you have all noticed that growth or whatever it is on the side of Zeke's face. What the hell is it? A burn? A tribal scar? A nasty zit? It make me sick and I notice that TV never gets an extreme closeup on his face because of it. Just wondering!
Dude....it's nasty to look at. Have you not seen it? It's like some zit that went crazy and it sticks like an inch off of his face. It's even more gross when he sweats and the light hits it just right. Sorry if I'm being insensative...I just wanted to know what it was if anyone knew!
Wow... I cannot believe there is a thread over Astacio's facial abnormality. So he has a skin condition, not everyone's perfect. Is this thread insensitive? Definitely!! This would be a case where you feel for the guy and respect whatever happened, not point it out and go "It make me sick". Close this thread, please.
I believe the man has a keloid look it up I may be wrong. All I have to say is I hope nobody in your family ever has a skin condition or something where people say omg looking at you makes me sick
Scars make you different. I have no problem with it. He stands out. Now all he has to do is stand out on the field and he'll be one unique son of a biotch.
Thats a good guess...likely massive fibrous tissue repair after some sort of severe childhood burn, I wouldn't be surprised if it continues down his neck to the lower part of his chest.
Keloids? I don't think so. That's what happens when the frat guys get those brands, and it expands out. I think Zeke has something else.
Okay it doesn't actaully make me sick...it just kinda hurts to look at it...like a burn victim. Doesn't mean I think anything less of the guy or anything. When he continues to groove pitches down the middle, I consider him a crappy pitcher, with or without the whatever on his face
This thread rocks. Like 98% of this board wasn't making fun of Julian Tavarez' "rake face" last year during the NLCS? Zeke is a Houston player ... ohhhhhh, God forbid anyone joke about a Houston player. If he was a Cardinal, we wouldn't hear the end of this mysterious boil on his face. Either way, everyone is right. Every single one of ya's. It DOESN'T have anything to do with baseball, he DOES groove it down the middle, & it is mos def the grossest thing in baseball. Makes me sick.
That's funny man!! Yeah and you are right...everyone went off on Julian's nasty looking mug last year. Zeke is by far the ugliest player in baseball...without a doubt. But I don't sleep with him, all I care is he throws strikes. Clemens is a lard-ass, but the man can pitch like a SOB! And I've heard Berkman is NASTY with his shirt off, all fat and blubbery...but as long as he clobbers the ball, that's all I care about!!!!
The good news is that I believe Surgery can correct this. That is why I am rooting for him to hit it big financial during his MLB career so that if he choses he could undergo a procedure that will remove the abnormality. That said, I absolutely have no problem with it all.
I won't pretend i haven't noticed before (several times.) I would assume the Astros have very good health insurance and he could just see a top notch dermatologist that could give him some creams and stuff. I guess some people just don't care.
