    ZBO to new Orleans?

Seems to be the same source but it seems like an interesting trade if accurate. Anderson doesn't seem to fit Memphis offense but maybe that's what they need to get out their slump.

Strange fit for pelicans but i can see why they would do it. They seem to be pushing for a better playoff seed and run this season.

    Lock if posted.

    Paging what.......

As I've mentioned in the GARM, I would trade Asik to the Pelicans. He fits better with their young lineup and Davis than ZBO would. Memphis is in dire need of some offense on the bench and perimeter. Anderson and Lin to Memphis for ZBO. Makes us title favorites and we nab the best available star aside from maybe Rondo who doesn't fit with us.

Salaries don't match for a straight swap.

It would have to be Anderson and perhaps aminu or if not aminu then they have to break up their Random 3 guards who all make over 11 million a year, or lastly it would require multiple players to be bundled together.

If I were a betting man I'd say this is all leaking from Memphis. Memphis is trying to move ZBo out so they can move Pau in. And LAL would absolutely love to get Pau out and Melo in.

So that's most likely a 4-way deal working there going down to the trade deadline with Melo telling the Knicks he wants out the day before the trade deadline and trying to get the Knicks to accept a package based around Gordon. It could be Memphis and LAL working together here. They're wanting to accomplish this:

    To NOP: Zach
    To MEM: Pau
    To NYK: Gordon/Anderson
    To LAL: Melo

Memphis and LAL want this. NOP has made a lot of stupid moves including the Jrue trade. Maybe MEM and LAL find a sucker. And we all know that the NYK are inept right now.

I would not want him in the Rox. He would slow or tempo down although his post Game would help in the playoffs

Interesting thought. I'm positive Memphis wants pau. I would assume la didn't want zbo, but instead cap space to lure melo, or a package for melo. Nop could very well be willing to deal both Gordon and Anderson for a veteran star.

What you say makes sense. Only hiccup i see us that if nyk is really going to trade melo, and i highly doubit (no matter the pressure our even if demands a trade). They gutted their squad for melo and have to roll with it. But if they were, multiple packages would beat that one, specifically anything Chicago could offer up.

Can't see NOP trading both Gordon/Anderson for an aging Randolph.

A lot will depend on where they stand at the deadline. If they (NYK) are out of the playoff chase and Melo starts potty mouthing that he wants out then they may realize it's time to move him.

If that happens I would expect the Clips to offer Griffin, and the Lakers to offer some convoluted mess, probably involving Memphis and some other team that will ZBo. And then there's always the Rockets who could have a mess of expirings/picks to offer NYK cap relief/youngsters and a future.

If nyk decide this route, Chicago to me would be the favorite to land melo. Deng+butler+mirotic+charlotte pick+both their 1st and 2nd pick is alot of assets to throw around. any combination is legit

But Chicago won't offer that up. Because if Melo squeezes NYK to get out, he's gonna tell them he wants LA, whether it be the Clippers or the Lakers. So, with no commitment from Melo to stay, Chicago isn't going to offer their limit. They'll probably offer Deng and perhaps their pick this year and in 2016.

That's why the Knicks are saying they won't trade him and why they are going to attempt to do these deals like getting Lowry, etc. But come Feb 19th if they haven't gotten in the heat of the playoff race and Melo meanders into the general manager's office and asks for a trade out to LA then we'll have to see what happens.
