Very cool...I always liked his game...IIRC, didn't Jason Taylor marry his sister? He went to Texas Tech right?

Yes, he was a Tech-ster...one of the few I've ever respected.

Glad he gets to go out on his own accord. He will be in the Hall of Fame.

I've really never understood ceremonial contracts. What's the point really?

To retire with the team you played a large majority of your career with. When someone looks back 20 years from now, it will say he retired as a Miami Dolphin...not a cowgirl.

Seems kind of silly, but in this specific case, I'm all for it.

You mean KC Chief. That was the last team he played for.

Same difference. Both played in Dallas.

I get that but it still seems kind of lame.

    Dallas Texans died in 1962. It's 2010.

When I look back at someone's stats, the only thing I see is the last team they played for -- not a one day contract. The whole thing is pretty silly.

Namath with the Rams and Unitas with the Chargers come to mind. Or Curtis Duncan in a Browns jersey...
