LeBron James, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler....

Still to come on offseason dream targets (aka "Hey, will they accept Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon?!"); Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kristaps Porzingis, Aaron Gordon, Anthony Davis, Karl Towns,

I don't think there's much of a chance of this deal actually happening, but if it did, how could they replace Capela? There just aren't that many guys left out there who fit that same mold as a pick-setting, rim-running center. It would be one thing if DJ or Noel were still available, but they're gone.

There is probably less than a 5% chance of this happening but Kawhi should be the #1 option if it is even remotely possible. Even after CP3 retires a tandem of Harden and Kawhi would challenge for a title.

It's wild to think people would pass on the opportunity to get this guy.

That being said, even bballholic would give this a <5% chance of happening

Let's just say...there are legs to this...Kawhi is a funny personality/Paul is prickly/Harden is a unique talent w/whom to share a court. How would it play out?

Say whatever you will re: TA, the man knew his role (uh, except when he'd roll towards the basketball somewhat in his hand).

Exactly. I doubt if he will anyway if we win it all. Unless Hardhead pisses him off.

In the end, aside our desire to risk, it would really depend also on what the Spurs want to do after losing Leonard, if they want to rebuild they would likely prefer the Lakers package (assuming it's not trash like Ingram or Kuzma and future 1st), but if they want to stay competitive, which is the likeliest scenario imo, a package of Capela and Gordon has to be really interesting for them at this point, especially if Phila and Boston are not willing to trade their good pieces.

You know they miss a center, they actually like to play with two bigs, and Capela not only would be a perfect fit with LMA, but he's also the perfect profile of player/person the Spurs like, hard worker, fiba player, low-key personality...pretty much the same you can say for Gordon.

These two players would really help them stay competitive since they would fill two spots/roles they miss, if you add that they might be two good contracts (and here comes Capela's contract in play) well, it may be very interesting for the Spurs, they would have enough cap space to go after a player like Butler or Irving next summer too.

The problem (let's say) for us here, would be to replace Clint but...i think moving Anderson and fillers with minor assets might be enough to get Chandler and Bazemore or another combination to get a starting center and a good guard/wing fro the bench. And next summer DeAndre is free agent.
