Word is that he may be done for the year...Playoffs here we come http://aol.sportingnews.com/nba/sto...l-done-for-season?eadid=EL/SICOM&sct=hp_t2_a9
Now Memphis can deal with their chemistry/3 megacontracts issue in the offseason. They won't be able to keep these three guys (Gasol, Gay, Randolph) for any length of time. Gay and Randolph haven't really had much time on the court together. The team only took off last season when Gay went down and they acquired Battier. Not that they're better without Gay or better without Randolph. But even their coach (Lionel Hollins?) stated that Zach Randolph would have to adjust (not the players out on the floor now) when he returns. Which is to say, they might be smarter finding a new home in the offseason for their star 3 or their star 4. Money-wise, chemistry-wise. Addressing the thread: sucks for Randolph. The dude's a hell of a talent. Tore us up earlier this season. (As do most elite 4's, with Scola "defending".)
If so I feel bad for them. We all know how it is like when your two best players take turns sitting out seasons.
People say we are in the worst position possible, but heres a team with 50+ million tied into 3 players and they arent even a playoff team. Talk about worst position possible. They need to move Gay ASAP.
Say's who? You? Perception WAS that the Grizz could not afford to sign Randolph and resign Gasol and keep Gay. Guess what? Perception was wrong. It's probably wrong again.
?? They just signed all three to max contracts within the last 18 months through 2015. It's already a done deal lol.
