All reality TV is fake; this isn't news. I must say though, when Kristen Cavallari said "The Hills" was fake, I refused to believe it...
That explains Barry Weiss poor choice of locker selection. How da fuq does he drive a new car every show?
He owned a company that supplied produce to high end restaurants and stores. I also wouldn't be so quick to believe anything Hester said, dude seems like a major prick. He has also been in bankruptcy and might be looking for a bail out. To me it always seemed to be a believable show. Those guy's didn't really seem to be hitting home runs on very many of those lockers. Really ? The one with the skinny guy/fat guy ? Auction Hunters ,that show is obviously fake. Those dudes find valuable and historic items in every single locker they buy. Also both of those dudes are actors and have been on other shows, low budget movies.
I'm not sure how Hester has claims to sue them? What am I missing? Wasn't he part of it? Didn't he himself make money off the "fraudulence"? How is he claiming lost wages?
And in other news, water is discovered to be wet. I think it is interesting that part of his suit alleges that one of the cast members had surgery to make her seem sexier. Since most of the cast is male, guessing that narrows down to Brandi or the auctioneer's wife. Since both are a bit heavy and endowed already, it is tough to see which Hester is alleging having the surgery. Whoever it is should be the one suing. I prefer the Texas version. They figured early they had to have women in the cast. I sorta like Mary... seems like she is pretty cool, and has that "nutty/wild in bed" air about her.
All reality TV is fake or doctored, and there is absolutely zero government oversight. What's worse is that our news media isn't much better. Bread and circus for the win.
All reality TV isn't fake. Shows spend a considerable amount of money on casting and pay an entire staff to put those people in situations that are suitable to the format. There may be contrived elements to a particular show, but in large part production companies shoot for organic not staged - especially with the dating shows.
