If you could only access one website between Youtube and Facebook, which would you choose and why?

There is no 'none of the above' choice. Remember, you can only access one or the other.

Base your choice off enjoyment factor.

I only go on to youtube to listen to music, but there's other places to do that. Plus, I feel like youtube's gone corporate, it's too mainstream(that's not to say facebook isn't ethier, because it is) and everyone that comments on youtube is ethier a *** or a dick. So facebook.

I wonder what the response would be on a female-dominated board.

I'll see if my wife will post something on one of her sites.

Facebook. There are alternatives to Youtube, but once you and your social network are "locked in" to Facebook, the barrier to switching is much higher.

YouTube just because of music and interesting videos. Unfortunately, the comments have become increasingly asinine and hateful with people hiding behind anonymity. The new layout, VEVO, and ads has made Vimeo and Metacafe better.

Until around 2007, I actually liked Facebook. It was great for keeping in touch with old friends.

Then it opened up to people without .edu emails, feeds popped up, a flood of apps and emails came along with Twitter-like status updates and advertising.. which is why I rarely log on anymore.

I miss the old internet of IRC, America Online IM, Usenets and listservs. Guess I'm just getting old.

Youtube by far. There is so much you can learn and enjoy from videos. Facebook is basically just your friends acting like attention whores half the time.

    Youtube, absolutely!

Because...tons of backing tracks to play off of.

But I will not deny that if it wasn't for FB, I would have never found all my old HS friends from Okinawa. Some can't appreciate that but it's been almost 40 years since I heard from these folks...and its a gas!
