Anyone else seen this? Even if the guy didn't realize he was on camera, why would he do this? Maybe they should have left the gate open? <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DhmjJCBQ-cA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I wonder if he kept his job? Pugs
I'm sure he kept his job. These guys have probably the hardest job this time a year. Not making excuses, but it isn't that big of a deal. The monitor was probably $100-$150.
No way he kept his job... Wouldnt matter if it were a 5 purchase... I would raise hell as the customer
It really sucks if that monitor is a gift. The customer will not have time to return it and get a replacement in time for Christmas. Fedex doesn't guarantee overnight delivery during the week before Christmas.
Having worked as a loader for those trucks many years ago for a FedEx competitor, I can tell you that this doesn't compare to the crap that gets done to packages before it gets on the truck. lol. I feel for those dudes that drive those delivery trucks, though. I'm trying to figure out what he's doing there. Is he throwing it over the gate because he doesn't want to leave it where someone else could get it?
Seems like the gate was closed so he just drop it off. That's the reason why I mostly don't buy thing online. Hope the guy does get fired.
Are you kidding me? It makes the company look like they don't care about their customers. If this video goes viral, Fedex will have to talk to the media. When they do, they will have to explain that this guy does not represent the average FedEx worker, who normally handles packages with kid gloves because they value their customers. More than likely this moron was fired 10 minutes ago. There is too much at stake. Bad publicity like this can cause many customers to choose UPS, which would cost FedEx share holders a lot of money.
FedEx already knows about it. Video is already viral. You think we get videos like this before Reddit?
Not a big deal? Go find something in your house that's worth around $150 and breakable and drop it. That guy will definitely be fired. FedEX is a gigantic company and a reputation to patch after this incidents. Now people will have plenty of good reason to see why they receive DOA products delivering from FedEX.

It was on the Drudge Report too. Their items are insured, that's a reason to use FedEx. Again, I'm not making an excuse for the guy but UPS and FedEx trucks are pulling UHAUL trailers behind them right now. They are dilivering hundreds of millions of packages over the holidays, this is one. Like was said elsewhere, you should see how they are tossed around in the sorting stations. There is a cost of getting packages shipped across the continental US in two days for $10 bucks. People who think this type of package handling doesn't already happen they need to stop living in denial.
He didn't even bother to ring the bell. According to some article, the guy was home and saw the whole thing happen.
The fact that it was caught on video and went viral as to be considered in deciding whether to fire him or not. Had this simply been reported by the customer, then the employee would have probably received a slap on the wrist, unless this was the last straw for him. In this case though, I'd be surprised if he wasn't fired. At the very least he was suspended or something. The point of insurance is to cover accidents or a lost package, but this is just the FedEx fcking up knowingly. What i dont understand is, did the guy not think the owner would wonder how the package got across the gate? The only way is to throw it over.
