You have the following offers on the table, which one do you accept and why? These are all rumors I've heard in a while, and supposedly some are on the table as we speak. I'm just curious which one you guys would take.

Trade #1
To Portland:
PG Nick Van Exel
C Raef LaFrentz
SG Tariq Abdul-Wahad

To Denver:
PG Damon Stoudamire
SG Bonzi Wells
C Dale Davis

Trade #2
To Minnesota:
PG Nick Van Exel

To Denver:
PG Terrell Brandon

Trade #3
To Minnesota:
PG Nick Van Exel
C Raef LaFrentz

To Denver:
PG Terrell Brandon
SG Wally Szczerbiak

Trade #4
To Orlando:
PG Nick Van Exel
C Raef LaFrentz
SG Tariq Abdul-Wahad

To Denver:
SG Mike Miller
PG Darrell Armstrong
SF Jud Buechler
SG Jeryl Sasser
2 1st Round Draft Picks

Trade #5
To Milwaukee:
PG Nick Van Exel
C Raef LaFrentz

To Denver:
PG Sam Cassell
SF Tim Thomas
C Joe Pryzbilla

Trade #6
To New York:
PG Nick Van Exel

To Denver:
SG Latrell Sprewell

Ok.

Always try to get the best player possible, with that in mind - Portland(Bonzi Wells) and Milwaukee(Tim Thomas) seem the two most attractive deals

Posted this in the other Nugs thread. Here's another rumor flying around (I just found out the TAW part of the deal, which is why it's not in the other thread):

To New York
PG Nick Van Exel

To Dallas
PF Marcus Camby
SG Tariq Abdul-Wahad

To Denver
PF Juwan Howard

However, it now appears that we have only one team interested. I'm curious to which team it is.

To me the best player is Szczerbiak. The player with the most potential is probably Miller or Wells. Tim Thomas hasn't seemed to growing as fast as a player as the other three.

I really see no reason to part with Laeffrez. I thus think the Spree for NVE deal looks good.

However, if you need get get rid of Laeffrez just to mix things up. I would have to go with the Orlando deal. Miller is the youngest of the good players being discussed, Armstrong is an OK NVE replacement, you get 2 extra picks, and you get rid of the overpaid Wahad. Make Minnesota include Loren Woods and I like trade 3 as well. The trade with Milwalkee ain't bad either.

The one trade I say away from is Portland. Wells would be a good pick up for Denver but Davis is too old and Stoudamire is too limited as a starter--both are overpaid too.

In this trade the Mavs win huge, and any of the other trades are better for Denver than this one. I hope this trade doesn't go down.

1 - Denver ok
2 - Denver sux
3 - Denver rocks!
4 - Denver ok, maybe better later
5 - Denver rocks
6 - Denver sux

Wally is the best of the bunch. Give the guy his props. He's the best shooting 2 in the league, strong, and smart. Dice and TBrandon are a good start, with d minded filler around. I also love Cassell with Dice, and Tim Thomas is nice. Pryz plugs the hole for a bit, but Cassell, Dice and TT are nice.

Bonzi is trouble, Damon is exposed, and Davis is done.

La Frentz is nothing special, and he hates Denver. I'd trade him.

Because essentially Mike Miller is the only player they give up. Darrell Armstrong? He's ok. Sasser and Buechler? Ugh. The picks hurt a little, but with that team, and them being "THE" place to be, they won't be missed thanks to FA.

Armstrong is every bit as good as Van Exel is, and he's not a cancer to the team. I'd trade Miller for LaFrentz, but it's close. And Buechler has an ending contract after next year, so the last thing the Magic want to do is take on more salary. The two #1s hurt, though they do have a stockpile of them.

The Nuggets would make out in that deal.

I can't believe 40% voted for the Portland scenario. Oh well. I voted #3 for Sczcerbiak. I'm tempted though to say you're best off with a Van Exel/Sprewell swap: keeps it simple. My only hesitation is Sprewell may cause just as much trouble as NVE has.

Well, we're in the stretch run and it sounds like the NVE for Brandon deal is the only one that's really likely, although apparently Cuban is working on doing a three way deal which has the Nugs trading Posey, Raef and Nick and getting back Bradley and other players from Dal/NY. No idea the breakdown.

Hoping for Finley if anything with Dallas goes down. But I seriously doubt it.

Milwaukee would be the best deal. You're getting a guy like Sam Cassell, who does a great job distributing the ball. And when Antonio comes back, I think he'll be better off playing with Sam than with Van Exel. And then you have Tim Thomas, who I think is a definite NBA starter, and is ready for the spotlight...not to mention how young he is. Lastly there's Pryzbilla who makes a good enough back up center and is also young.

I'd take that over the Portland deal because a.) Sam is a much better PG than Damon in my opinion. b.) Bonzi doesn't really have that much of an edge over Thomas in the long run, also in my opinion. c.) just how old is dale davis anyway? d.) haven't the Nuggets already had enough problems with Issel, Rider, Van Exel. The last thing you guys need is another head case like Bonzi, and to a lesser extent Stoudamire. and lastly e.) I have to add that Sam is one of the most likable players in the entire league. ;)

I see Wally and Miller as a better aquisition than Thomas. Both are younger (Miller is what only 20?) and Thomas has a more specialized roll because of the great guards Milw has. Wally, and to a lesser degree (but more than Thomas) Miller, have done it more where they have had to stand on their own 2 feet and produce.

The Orlando deal makes a lot of sense to me. NVE is younger and better than Armstrong, and Lafrenz would be one of the better centers in the East. Plus they have McGrady, making Miller a hot commodity they could parley to meet their needs. I think Minnesotta should be pretty happy with their team, I don't know why they would want to mix things up now by taking on NVE and Lafrenz. Milwalkee might want to mix things up, I just like the Orlando deal a little better for the long term--which is obviously what Denver should be considering. In hearing others I am further against the Portland deal, the only think worse would be taking on Howard.

I hate my life.

Deal that is reportedly going to go down in the next hour or so (they have league approval to continue negotiations):

Dallas Gets:
Marcus Camby
Raef LaFrentz
Avery Johnson
Tariq Abdul-Wahad

New York Gets:
Nick Van Exel

Denver Gets:
Juwan Howard
Tim Hardaway
Donnell Harvey
Cash
A Draft Pick (no specifics yet)

I hate my life.
