For those of you who are married, did you have a wedding song that was featured? Ours was "Grow Old Along With Me" written by John Lennon. A version by Mary Chapin Carpenter was going around about the time we met and fell in love so we chose it as ours. In fact, Mrs. G just called me and told me to turn on the radio because it is being played right now. One of my sisters-in-law on my wife's side sang it for us. She's good. http://youtube.com/watch?v=lrhzI2jbMqo Who else chose what?

Our ceremony was bare bones in a gazebo built by my grandfather. The next day at the party our first dance was "Sway" by Dean Martin.
We walked down the aisle to "Sleepwalk" by Santo and Johnny. We exited the Church to the Love Boat theme.
I tell every girl I date that when I get married my prospective fiance and I are walking down the isle to Bootsy Collins - I'd Rather Be With You. I will not budge on this as it is non-negotiable.
Mine is either gonna be: Break On Through (to the other side) - by the Doors Or Light My Fire - also by the Doors.
Mine is going to be "What the f**k are you THINKING" by....someone. Me, probably. And it'll be improvised as I run screaming from the church/courthouse/wherever as I come down and/or come to my senses.
Ours was "All Love Can Be" by Charlotte Church (from A Beautiful Mind, which, incidentally, was our first date)
I thought the lyrics from Break On Through reminds me of my current relationship that I am in now. Sweet and kinda not making any sense. As for Light My Fire, can you just imagine dancing to that 15 minutes of solo? That would just be awesome. And it's not like either of us know how to dance, so we don't need those complicated sappy slow songs.
"At Last" by Etta James was our official song, but our unofficial song was the Adam Sandler "Grow Old with You" from the Wedding Singer.
I'd be willing to bet that doesn't happen. Not because they aren't great songs. Ours was "Walkin (for your love)" by Widespread Panic.
Heh, go with "Leavin' on a Jet Plane" or w/e by John Denver. The best part of a wedding is leaving, both for the bride and groom and the folks attending.
Ours was The Luckiest, by Ben Folds. It was my 2nd choice, with the 1st, of course, being Reign in Blood, by Slayer.
Ours is going to be "Amazed" by Lonestar. Less than two months away now. I'm so sad how expensive my cheap wedding is becoming.
Our song is "Forever and For Always" by Shania Twain, but that's a hard song to dance slow too, so that was played during our entrance into the reception. For our first dance, we used "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith.
