If the rockets dont make the playoffs what will you do? How will you feel about the rockets if they dont make it. Hate them, forget them or "wait till next year"

I thinks its a little too early to wonder about the rockets not making the playoffs. They havent even played their first preseason game yet.

way to early to tell. there are a myriad of ways not to make the playoffs. only after analyzing the way we failed can you make your changes.

Well real fan would hate or forget about the rockets, but I guarantee we would have to get used to some very different faces on this team. At that point no one except Yao is untouchable.

This is Houston sports we are talking about, the Astros, the Texans,(before that the oilers were the wait till next year team) and lately the Rockets have been. If you are a true Houston fan you stick with them and be even more jacked when the team finally wins it all.

I won't be too surprised. I think we're on the bubble right now anyway so it won't be an utter shock to me to miss the playoffs again.

I always thought that you give your core player's (including the coaching staff) at least 3 years.

IMO, that is fare, but then I believed this as a football fan too.

Because of injuries?
Because Yao can't raise his level of play?

u gotta be kidding me right? if we cant beat out seattle, GS, and Clippers for the final spot, then...... ......i would be shocked.....btw, what a horrible idea to start this dreadful thread on the eve of the first preseason game.......

If the Rockets don't make the playoffs I definetly won't check this board anymore. Can you imagine how rediculous the trade idea's would be? I bet Garnett proposals would even start popping up again.

what amazes me is the number of people who say that we were a "lock" for the playoffs this year, anyway. The Freak is the first one that comes to mind, but there are others. people...there are no "locks" when you were not in the playoffs the year before. in fact, i don't think there is a single playoff "lock" in the west outside of the first 5 spots:

LA
SA
Sac
Minny
Dallas

if you are not one of those teams, you could just as easily be #6 as #9.
