For those of you who watched the ESPN broadcast exclusively, Bill, Clyde and Matt did the FSN broadcast together and it appears that might be the way it is throughout the playoffs.

I think the idea is good on paper and definitely the "fair" thing to do but the chemistry between these guys just isn't there and it takes away from the broadcast. It seems to me that Matt and Bill have settled in together and are the best combo since Calvin was booted. Clyde and Bill are what they are and I can at least expect to get a laugh out of what Clyde "Captain Obvious" Drexler will tell us during the broadcast.

Last night, it seemed Matt and Bill were doing there thing and doing a decent job but Clyde was struggling to fit in. It was like someone was in his ear piece saying "Clyde, say something or people will forget you are there" so Clyde would make sure to interject something in a volume that was twice as loud as Bill or Matt.

Perhaps the moment that best describes the night was early in the game when Matt made a comment about the Rockets being nervous and Clyde corrected him saying "it isn't nervousness it is anxiousness" only to say several minutes later how nervous the Rockets were. LOL

Air Bullard is alright, at least he works on his broadcasting skills and wants to get better. But it seems like Clyde just wants to be like " Hey Guys! Its me Clyde! Dontcha just love me!" and not put in any effort. Bill Worell is a master, and should be doing ESPN or TNT games during playoffs in my opinion.

Bullard is bearable as long as he's not trying to be funny.

Isn't that rude to correct someone like that, ESPECIALLY on the air???

If I was Matt, I would just say "..wait, did I just hear an echo?" every time Clyde talks. That would hit the spot every time.

I thought I would watch ESPN cause of the picture quality but because the Magic Pistons game was running late I flipped over to FSN and watched it for the majority of the game.

    My pro and cons:

    ESPN:

Pro: Picture, camera angles (replays), updates, stats (basically everything FSN can't afford)

    Con: Walton

    FSN:

Pro: Hometeam broadcast (homerism); pregame and postgame show

Con: The pros of ESPN + Clyde

ESPN is very disappointing...I'll be DVR-ing FSN for now on unless our game is on TNT like tomorrow night
