What sound system or speakers do you own? (Include stuff in the car if you want) I just got these recently. Logitech is awesome. AMAZING sound and A huge subwoofer that makes the walls shake.
i have that system and it is definitely awesome. it's fairly cheap if you get it from ebay and everyone that has listened to it has been very impressed.
well in my truck i have all infinity kappa speakers on my doors and 2 twelves subwoofers , JL Audio brand, in my room i have a really good sound system for my ipod, its a kinda circle shaped system, JLB audio, good enough for my room.
Magnepan MMG's I use a 325 watt Audiosource Amp 7T to drive them. For a preamp, I use a Ming Da Mc-7r
I have a Rotel RX-602 circa 1976 in my office hooked up to some Fluance AV-938s which I primarily play music from my computer on. Also an old Sony linear tracking turntable. The Rotel sounds better than most modern stuff I've heard at high end stereo shops at about 5% of the cost. The Fluance speakers also sound amazing when bi-wired. I've got a JBL home theater in a box thing in my living room which I feel kind of, eh about. Good for DVDs, but not so musical.
I never understood why you all need all that power to listen to a YouTube compressed audio of Alanis Morrissette's "My Humps". jk. Do you REALLY need all those speakers? Most of us geeks use our PCs to do crap... nice music, OK, but all I have is that default Harman/Kardon subwoofer with the left and right speakers. I guess I am jealous ya'll can afford those at work. p.s. Roxfan73, you're kidding, right?
I have an older version of Logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers. here's my setup with my 42inch monitor. http://forums.bcgamers.net/index.php?showtopic=333 (other 2 speakers are behind me. )
I have the exactly same system as uprising, but I'm only using 2 speakers and the sub. In my car I have 6.5 pioneers in the back, mb quart component in front, and 12 " MTX 9500 sub.
Nice to know we got some audiophiles in the house. I've always wanted the Magnepans, they sounded awesome in the store I was listening to them. But I also liked how the Martin Logans sounded. I have an EAD preamp/amp combo collecting dust because I haven't gotten around to buying some good speakers to it.
Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 9s (fronts), Paradigm Mini-Monitors (rears), Paradigm CC-370 (center) Subwoofer: Energy XLS8 (not very powerful) Pre/Pro: Outlaw Audio Model 950 Amp #1: ATI 1402 (4-channel amp, 200 watts/channel, bridged for just fronts) Amp #2: Carver 5-channel amp (for my center and rears) Surge Protector/Line conditioner: Panamax 1000+
This is in my sunroom - I have a 5 channel Behringer mixer VCR/CD/PS2 in Crown DC300 amp 2 100 Watt Optimus Speakers I have several larger mixers, amps and a few more sets of speakers, but this is what I leave running at home. Until the Rockets are always in HD, this is where I watch games.
nice- what's your source? i used to own maggies, 2.4s, but had to sell them when we moved to a smaller place. now I've got a powerbook G4, running into a hagUSB-->SPDIF converter which in turn connects to a musical fidelity CD Pre24 amps are red rose music M150 mono-blocks which drive Vienna Acoustics Beethoven speakers
basso, That is some beautiful gear. I have never heard the Red Rose stuff. I do know that Mark Levinson is behind it, so it has to be top notch. For a source, I use an HP laptop running through a Squeezebox. I also use a Sherwood S-3000 tube tuner for FM.
I'm in the market for some new tower speakers for my TV/Stereo setup in my den. Don't want to spend too much....the speakers I have now are some 15 year old Kenwoods that are just too big and clunky. Any recommendations?
http://fluance.com/fluanhigthre.html They also sell on egay. check their feedback. http://cgi.ebay.com/FLUANCE-Hifi-So...ryZ14993QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
