I think the rockets will win 50 games or so. They will make playoffs, but without home court advantage.
LOL....To soon for this poll, to many things can still change with the team and other teams around them. As constructed now Id say 46-36, probably 7-8 seed.
40 wins seems likely to me. 45 maybe, with 50 pushing it. IF we make the playoffs, we'll be one of the last teams in. I try to be realistic but also have hope.
24 total wins... 2 vs Clippers 1 vs Kings 2 vs Lakers 2 vs CP3 Squad 1 vs Spurs 1 vs Memphis 1 vs Landthieves 1 vs Spanish Inquistion (Wolves) 1 vs Nelly-ball 1 vs Stern's Pet (Lebron) 2 vs Bucks 1 vs Larry Brown Reunion Tour 1 vs Wade n' Beasley 1 vs Magic 2 vs Knicks 2 vs Brooklyn, er NJ Nets 1 vs Raptors 1 vs 76ers
IF!!! Tracy McGrady can play this season and do so like it was the last year of his contact AND if he is wiling to play a role and only take high percentage shots (McGrady must not play with the mental attitude that he is the leader of the team and everything goes through him). THEN the Rockets will have a decent season and could win 55 games. IF McGrady sulks and only plays within the game on occasions then the Rockets could win 10 games less ie 45games. Coach A must lay down the rules to McGrady before the season starts!
With this present roster, The team could win as much as 45 to 50 games however that would not mean an automatic playoff spot. The west is tough and 48-50 wins might be needed for the 8th spot. This thread would be more intriguing if the team roster is finalized and the situation of Tmac is definite.
55 win season is more than decent lol. and yes if tracy can play 65 games or so at the 07-08 level, we'll be a 50 win team with or without yao. getting out of the first round is a possibility too if we get the right matchups (jazz/blazers/hornets). those are a whole lot of IFS
you think this team is capable of winning 55 games. boy are you in for a rude awakening next season. i think there is a better chance this team wins half that 27 or 28 games then 55. just my opinion.
No option for no lottery and no PO clinching? We are in the west where last year (last few years actually) quite a few teams DIDNT make the playoffs and yet not a bad enough record to get lottery.
Your joking right. During April & March of last year (when the team started to play well, the combined stats and percentage the team's total stats for Yao, Artest, & Wafer were Pts 46.70 Reb 17.53 Assists 7.21 Stls 2.03 Blks3.04 47.6% 40.8% 33.1% 53.9% 36.7% We are currently replacing those players with Buddinger, Ariza, Taylor, Dorsey, and Anderson....
