Which Rockets player would you want to take a clutch shot? (including free throws, 3 pointers)

First game I ever went to--Rockets vs. Warriors--inbound alley-oop from Bob Horry to Dream hits the backboard, starts heading out of bounds, Mad Max scoops it up, hits a three--falling out of bounds--with just over a second left to give the Rockets the two point win. Gotta be Max. How many times did he do it against the Spurs? I think it was six or seven.

A clutch player makes the big plays also. Passing, blocking, rebounding.

Gotta go with Hakeem. The clutchest of all blocking Starks 3 point shot at game 6 of the Nba finals thus bringing Houston its 1st championship.

I know he quit on the team, but I gotta go with Mad Max. My favorite clutch shot of his was the one in late 1993 at home against the Heat. He threw up a prayer turnaround 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime. That win helped the Rockets off to their ridiculous 22-1 start that year.

A clutch shooting Rocket poll without Horry(one of the greatest clutch players ever), Mario(The Suns, enough said), Sam( fourth quarter spark plug) or even Kenny Smith( who hit 1 of the biggest three's in the history of the Rocket's in game 1 vs orlando which completely took their heart out of it after Anderson's 4 missed free throws) isn't really a poll. And these guys along with Dream, Drex, Max, did it in championship runs.

And how is Yao leading this thing when he has never hit a game winning shot, we are just fighting for the 8th playoff spot, has turned the ball over numerous times at the end of games in clutch situations and only averages 13 points a game? I know some of you love Yao, but more votes than Dream, Drex, and Max (not even mentioning the ones you left out)who have actually made clutch plays for years and in championship runs.

Cat is clutch, he hit a clutch 3 in his first game:D
Horry is the most clutch player on the rockets ever, he is the most clutch player ever in the nba (ok maybe not ever, but for as long as i can remember, miller is close second, and Jordan Third).

Yao wins this poll just like he got into the allstar game.

Didn't anyone here watch the Rockets when Vernon was on the team?! Man how many buzzer-beaters did that man hit during the first title run? Mad-Max was our most clutch player ever....

Just as someone else said, even though he quit on the team, I gotta go with Mad-Max. He was insane, in more than one way. He made so many clutch and H-O-R-S-E type shots it makes me shake my head. Hakeem held it down but you knew they were going to deny him the ball so we needed guys like Max, Horry, Elie, etc...

Yeah these votes are ridiculous. Yao wtf...I love the guy as much as any of you, but he doesn't deserve this yet. MOST of you are still fans from the championship years...how are you not voting Vernon?? At least I can live with the Hakeem votes.
