My lady has been swearing by this show for about 2 weeks... But I can't bring myself to trust her again.. I still can't get over the fact she had me binge watching Sex in the City... and I like it
Cranston does being worried, scared, frustrated or angry very well. That's his acting wheelhouse. He was very bland in all the post-Breaking Bad mega-movies where he just stood around and delivered lines to move the plot forward - thinking of Godzilla and there was a rom-com with James Franco. Also Argyle this year, which was generally a pretty bad movie. He shines when his character can get emotionally twisted up and he can really wallow in the negative emotions.
Everybody thinks I'm an Ottoman Turk based on a misreading of my username, so I decided to lean into it.
This guy is great in Your Honor, as well. Michael Stuhlbarg. Also great in Boardwalk Empire. Just recently saw Trumbo. A good movie about the Hollywood Blacklist. Both Cranston and Stuhlbarg are in that.
I liked it. This is like a Breaking Bad spinoff series. Cranston makes a decision to break bad for the good of his family and many lives are adversely impacted due to his decision. Gotta love the line in season 2 from Rosie Perez to Cranston; "It's over when I say it's over." They had to know they were using a breaking bad line there. And I had no idea the drive from New Orleans to Houston was so scenic. 24 miles from downtown Houston would make this the Baytown area.
One of my favorite memories as a child was driving through the tunnel on the way home from Baton Rouge and emerging to see the majestic mountain range surrounding the Houston metro area.
Really got into this show before losing power for 6 days. Almost through Season 1. Need to pick it back up again.
Watched both seasons, read that they are not picking it up for season 3. I really enjoyed the show except the continuity messed with me at times. How do they get so much accomplished in one day. I think in one episode the lawyer lady was in court, went to the prison, then back to court, and it was even noon yet. Also, when he was at the dock showing the boat and had to dispose of something out in the gulf and made it back in time to court. I thought there was another thread about the show where the question was asked about the circumstances between the last episode of season 1 and the first episode of season 2 and how the judge ended up in those circumstances. Don't want to spoil anything so vague comments.
